I ask why not $1.49 that is clearly marked the item. I was told it doesn't matter what it says it what it scans. Well how is a person suppose to shop if the prices are marked less than they ring up. I was looked at as if I crazy or out of line. To me this wrong and should not be allowed.. It my conclusion that thus particular family dollar us committing a crime. Although petty per item the total amounts have to add up i will be notifying ohio attorney general so they can do something.

I went to the Family Dollar on 3295 Siebenthaler Ave in Dayton OH on August 4, 2024 around 6:30 PM…read more My family member was also shopping with me. When we got up front there was no cashier, a young man who was stocking came up front looking for the cashier who was no where to be found. A couple minutes later she came back from outside where there we several people out there and said "I wasn't far." She started to scan the items we were purchasing and my family member put their phone number in for coupons that they had. In the process of paying I say my phone down with my keys to swipe my payment cards. I put my cards back in my purse and the Family Dollar bags with my family member. I start walking out the door and realize I don't have my phone so I turn back to grab it. At the same time the cashier is yelling how she can't find her phone. I grab my phone off the counter and she tries to snatch it from me. I snatch back and say "nah this is my phone." So then she tells at me to check and make sure I didn't take her phone. I told my family member to check the bags and there is no phone. She then steps out the store and starts to follow us yelling "so you don't hear no phone ringing?!" With a phone in her hand. I stop and hand my family member my purse and tell her that "we don't have your fucking phone and we didn't steal it bitch." That's when she acted like she was going to put her hands on me and the young man and people who were sitting outside of the store go in between everyone. I ended up pulling off with my family member to go to the ATM in the next parking lot over. Only to see her pointing and gesturing towards my car still accusing me of stealing her phone. This treatment was unnecessary and unacceptable. I shop at this store at least once a week and have never had this happen before.
