The staff is very helpful and friendly, and informed about their products. They carry a little bit of everything, from home goods, to clothes, to automotive, sundries, hardware, food, toys, etc., like the 5-and-10 store of yore. Another store recommended Roses when I was looking for souvenir tee shirts for the Golden Isles. Yes, Roses had them, and a super bargain at $5 each! I bought a few $5 Jekyll tees, some bargains on Matchbox and Jurassic World toys, and some $1.50 striped beach towels I'm going to make into beachy throw pillowcases. I even found a $1 sewing repair kit I needed, and it was a huge bargain compared to the price at JoAnn's (Dollar Tree doesn't even carry these anymore). In addition to Suave and Softsoap products cheaper than Walmart, and isopropyl alcohol cheaper than Walmart or Dollar Tree, they also had 20qt stainless steel stockpots for only $16, an awesome deal! And decent quality flip flops for $4. They are definitely tailored for beach vacation rental house needs, and souvenirs, as well as local living too. As I said, a little bit of everything. Bought a bunch of stuff I didn't know I needed, and stuff I really needed at excellent prices! Went back two more times, new stuff each time. Love Roses!

This store appeared to me on the horizon like the mirage of an oasis in a desert to settlers pushing west. The grey haired goddess at the dressing room was quick and helpful and did not judge my borderline homeless appearance. The gentleman on register seven who let a small child cut in line in front of me not only gave this seven year old polite thorough service but was my shepherd through my laundry famine. 10/10. Online said 3 and 9 in stock for the items I wanted. I had an in-store only coupon that the website would not allow me to apply for in-store pick up, so had to just rely on inventory and visit the store. Got there to find shelves cleaned out. Asked about items. Associate checked in back. Found one, not the other. I understand inventory can have a delay in updating but when it says 9 items, it should be there. Associate didn't really care, didn't try to help further by checking again or elsewhere. Seemed to me, that stock was somewhere in the store. Good news was slacking associates means they put wrong sale tags on things, and sorting through the mess I found a $19 dino priced at $3.50, took a photo of display and the cashier honored it. So that's the upside of disorganized Target sales!

But I shopped the sh*t out of them when I did! I love flip flops and they were just stocked on spring merch, so I attacked the flip flop wall! So many brands I wasn't familiar with in the flip flop world, but cute styles and really good quality! I Googled all of them before buying and the discounts were steep at Bealls!!! I got 5pr flip flops! They had all the departments a TJ Maxx would have, but some different brands. The brands were all good quality here, and I was really impressed with prices, especially compared to TJX and Ross stores. I got my son a truck he loves, which is a huge seller on Amazon for $15... I paid $8 at Bealls Outlet! Got a 9" salt lamp on clearance for $7.50, also a cat scratch cardboard thing for $4.50, just like the $5 one at Five Below, but the Bealls one has catnip included and was better quality. Got a high quality Nerf dog ball launcher for $5 ($15 on Amazon), and a set of dinosaur board books for my son, again half the price of Amazon! This is a great store with very good bargains! Since the previous owners to the new ones after Big Lots closed down and reopened with new owners…read morethey have YET to fix their AIR CONDITIONER. I have always loved Big Lots but due to the conditions inside the store it makes it extremely difficult to stay longer than a few minutes. My family and I went in yesterday at this location in Brunswick Georgia and had to leave before completing our shopping list. I felt So terribly bad for their employees in particular the one lady ringing us up. While we were trying to shop we began to sweat profusely and when we decided to leave prematurely and approached our unfortunate cashier...we noticed beads of sweat dripping down her eyes behind her glasses. It's bad enough that the customers have to endure that kind of heat (yesterday's temperatures was 104° with a heat index of 113°-outside), but just IMAGINE being an employee there having to work a full shift in those conditions and it's not even August yet. I'm sure that it's affe ting their business. In fact when we were in our car making calls to try and get them help with AC repair, 4 grown men entered the store and in less than a minute walked right back out again empty handed. I doubt I'll go there again this summer if ever.

Much better than the super Walmart down the street…read more Some items were not available at the larger Walmart the day prior (Romain lettuce and Naturdays), and we were not in the mood to fight through Sunday's crowd. Although some aisles were blocked while employees stocked, many other aisles were clear and less foot traffic than other grocery stores. We easily found everything we needed and the selection was great. Checkout was really fast and no lines. Only one star was lost for the aisles being blocked and the tons of carts in the parking area. Otherwise, we love this store and will be here often in the future.

John found a Richard Scarry children's book in French and quickly called his sister to see if she wanted it for our niece. Next find was a Boy scout handbook from dad's childhood! I found some sweet bells, but when I spotted the giant jug under a table I held my breath as I turned it over and saw the name Dover- Seagrove! The tag was labeled as such- 1987 Seagrove pottery- score! I snapped pictures and took the jug home too- already sent photos to my friends in Seagrove, I know the family studio it was made in! How cool- to find it in Brunswick, Ga! Great prices too- John and I both bought from the same booth!!!

Today was our lucky day because we were given discounts on our purchases!
