The so called Manager Needa or Nida (the short dark skin 'girl' with glasses), however she spells her name, is the nastiest, rudest person there! I don't know why Dollar Tree still employs her! She always in a bad mood! Slams your items around while ringing you up! And don't go to this location for an exchange, even unused items with a receipt she'll find a way to refuse it! I always pray when I go there (which isn't often) that she's off which she seems to never be! She was saying at the end of the summer she would be gone by the 30th, I was hoping it was November 30th! The white heavy lady working as the cashier had a major attitude problem. She had asked if i had a bag in a low voice, I have hearing problems and heard it as do you need a bag since that is what most people say. She then proceeded to give me an attitude saying under her breath well that's what you said and rolled her eyes at me. If i didn't have the respect i have, i would have dragged her. Shelves have always empty the store is completely disorganized there's no continuity in the Isles half the aisle is dishes half the aisle is food . Whenever you place an internet order half of it is missing but you get charged for it . I recently came to pick up an order and some gentleman told me to come back later like I have nothing better to f****** do . If you can try to go to a different Dollar Tree . I am hoping that they close the store so that the staff here can go on welfare where they belong . read more

Like other Dollar Trees, the shelves are bare around mid-afternoon and the aisles are packed with boxes. However, the staff is nice and the prices are affordable. I always find one or two items that are a great deal and worth the trip here. I wished they keep the aisle clear of boxes and the shelves better stocked but, that's corporate America trying to get more with less cost. read more

It's disgusting in this particular Dollar Tree. So Messy, and carts blocking the aisles in the back. The water fountain which is meant for customers, is stuffed with trash sitting on top of it. Some of the aisles are very messy. You can't even get your shopping cart through. It's a disaster! There is not enough cashiers opened! Nobody seems to care that the store is a mess! This store is very unorganised! Stuff is everywhere! The only good thing about this store is the snack aisle. Always a good place to buy candy because it's only a dollar. Otherwise, I wouldn't waist your time in this particular store. I'd go to the one on Flatbush or 86th Street. Because it's neater and more organised. read more

Some employees are extremely rude, actually the managers or assistant managers. At least that is how it was when they just opened. The treatment is a better now, now that they hired a guy and few ladies that actually speak to you like a human being. But still the worst store in Brooklyn. Stock is terrible, unkept and everything is thrown all over the place. Unfortunately the closest to me. I love other Dollar Trees in Brooklyn and still go there. read more

I was thrilled when a Dollar Tree opened up near me....about 2 or 3 years ago.. But...this store on Coyle Street is a tremendous disappointment. There are boxes galore...stacked one on top of another in every aisle.. You cannot get through The shelves remain almost naked, because the boxes with products are never opened and put on shelves! They are short-staffed, for sure..... I will say that the manager is a very nice man....He answers questions and does not ever have a nasty attitude.. I just wish they'd stock their shelves, keep the place neat and safe... I would love to buy craft supplies in this Dollar Tree...but it's impossible to do so.....because the store is either lacking so many craft supplies and/or what is on the shelves is here and there and everywhere....too chaotic to try to even think....what I'd need and where it may be... read more

I have been coming to this store for years, however, there must have been a recent change in management because suddenly, the store has undergone a profound makeover. Everything is organized, products well stocked and store looks great. I am thrilled about the new changes and my shopping experiences at this Dollar Tree store have improved for the better. I'm in this store at least 3 times a week. I've NEVER experienced rude staff. I even get greeted by a few employees probably because I'm there so much. The lines are long sometimes but what do you expect. They have good items for only $1. My daughter and my mom are also always in there as well and never had problems either. read more

Hats off the the manager in this store. Today I walked in there, having sworn never to shop at a Dollar Tree again, and found the manager unpacking cases of napkins. When I asked him a question about an item I was looking for he became apologetic as to the 'condition' of the store. I mentioned to him that I had recently read an article about Dollar Tree's success despite the constant mess in each and every store of theirs I have ever shopped in, and I have been to many in Brooklyn. As we all know, merchandise is all over the place, u-boats of merchandise block aisles and all that and yet They are a very successful store - on lijne can't offer you anything for a 1.00 without adding astronomical shipping costs, the poor shop here and the middle to upper middle, everyone is looking for a bargain. You can actually find some decent stuff here for a buck. But beware, a tiny bottle of detergent for 1.00 may actually be costing you more than perhaps a larger bottle on sale at the supermarket. Know what you are buying. I but lots of stuff here for 1.00 that is great. read more

This place is horrible. I've been to over 10 dollar trees in Brooklyn and this by far is the WORSE! Besides the mess, lack of staff and long lines- the workers are SO rude! My 4 year old son and I (a Muslim woman) came into the store while he was eating a chocolate bar I bought him from out (an expensive Kinder brand they don't even sell at dollar tree). I grabbed about $25 worth of things for my classroom and when paying, an older African American cashier said, "and that chocolate bar he's finishing up?!" Umm no mam, I bought that from somewhere else. Showed her the wrapper and receipt. You guys don't even carry this company here. Her response under her breath, "uhhhhh hu, these people always lying. It's in their blood." A women who "knew her" from behind me decided to intervene and continue that conversation with her stating it's only a dollar. She doesn't "understand" why people can't pay a dollar and open things. Umm okay, they both got a little piece of my mind. Dollar Tree-- you have SO much potential! I just need to say something about Dollar Tree on Coyle Street in Brooklyn. When it first opened it was clean and people were pretty nice but now, the place is FILTHY and the workers are so rude. I was on line one day with about 6 other people for about 20 minutes. No one was at register. We asked manager and she said that the cashier was in the restroom. We all asked if she can ring us up, she said no, that's not her job so we had to wait until cashier came back. Once she came back she was rude and nasty to customers who were complaining. Then another time there were employees putting away stock and complaining about doing their job and complaining when someone asks where things are since the store is in disarray. I was at the store on December 11th and when I walked in i was astonished as to what I saw. There were opened boxes of items strewn through each aisle. There was one aisle I could not even go up because of all the boxes. There was opened boxes of cookies all over, the shelves were all messy and dirty. The refrigerators were leaking all over the place and expired food. I suggest you do not go to that store. If you can travel to the store on avenue n and east 53rd street or flatbush avenue and avenue p. Their stores are clean and very helpful. read more

I loved the idea of a Dollar Tree opening right where I live as it is a crafter's haven. While shopping today I met three rude employees. Yes, I understand it is stock day, yet when a customer is trying to get past your cart of boxes and you stand there and let her struggle and then get curt with her when a box falls off the cart, I have issues with that. You should have willingly moved your cart instead of telling me, "I'm working on this isle." Really???? Maybe I shouldn't buy anything on this isle???? On another isle I had to tell two employees "excuse me" as they were talking (not working) so they would let me pass them. And yes- they saw me. At the register two more employees were talking and there were three empty boxes on the register. My husband moved them and got scolded. The cashier said that the other employee was working with them. My husband kindly stated that they were empty and moved them to place my purchases on the counter. So he put them back and the other employee moved them to exactly where my husband put them in the first place. Perhaps the manager needs to be available on stock day to make sure his/her employees are actually working and that customers can maneuverer the aisles. Perhaps I will find other Dollar Trees in my area to shop at. read more
