What a great location in the middle of Baraboo. I had no idea there was such a nice Walmart…read morebeautifully laid out and organized, clean amenities and friendly staff.

This store isn't *so* bad, this is a four star review for a Walmart, not comparing to high end…read morestores! Prices are getting higher but I don't have a problem going here for boxed/canned items or gifts as they are still more reasonable, and it's typically a one-stop shop for everything but produce. Pros? It's has nearly everything in one go. The outdoor pickup is fast if you're unable to bring your little ones inside or don't have time to walk through the store. I've also ordered same-day delivery through the website on days where I couldn't leave, so that's a decent bonus. You can grab some nice birthday or Christmas gifts for a relatively reasonable price. The bakery has a generous amount of custom cakes for events or parties that you can order online (or in-store) for pickup. The people working the aisles have been friendly. Cons? They recently redid the aisle numbers and some if them don't make much sense in terms of positioning, even the employees seemed confused. They could improve their stock during the holidays for sure, it should be obvious what products to keep more of, especially common things like Legos, electronics etc. I can give some of the employees (except management) some grace, as their staff turnover rate is so high that they aren't properly trained but customer service has been okay. I think one of their biggest issues is the checkout lines; they are incredibly long and this hasn't improved. Walmart now had dozens of self check-out as a way to solve their staffing shortage but it is definitely an inconvenience to the customer. Things to avoid: I would recommend buying baby puree and boxed foods elsewhere for pricing (ie. Aldi). Last, this is not where you want to purchase produce, it's low-tier quality so I plan accordingly. All in all, they save me money on boxed items and gifts and for now, that's good enough for me if I have the time to roam the city that is Walmart. Stop at Festival for those green peppers or apples.

This place has a great deal of antiques neatly on display and it features a lot of great stuff I was primarily looking for cool outdoor items for display while my wife was looking for cool kitchenware that was nostalgic. This place has decent finds at decent prices as well overall it was a really casual antique store experience but it does offer the most compared to other antique stores in this area

I came to Wisconsin on a girls weekend to get out of the city. My roommate, a Baraboo native, always comes back from home with cool furniture or jewelry that she finds in Baraboo antique stores so I was excited to try and find my own treasures. Our first stop in Baraboo's quite happening antique scene was Oak Street Antiques and Yarn Nook. We met up with my roommate's mom who was checking out as we walked in, but I was immediately distracted by a trunk full of wrapped presents. They were all $2 and labeled with the age range that the item inside would be appropriate for. I stood there for a good 5 minutes talking myself out of purchasing an armload full of them because I love a bargain and a surprise. After I got over my irrational urge to buy all the surprises, I started to look around the store. I really liked the layout and flow of the store. There were items everywhere, but I never felt overwhelmed and there was always room for 2+ people to move about. The front right corner of the store is the "yarn nook" section where you can buy all types of yarn and accessories and in the back left corner, there were a few ladies sitting around a large table and knitting. The back right corner has a room full of clothes, from old fur coats to shoes, to purses. The remainder of the store is full of items from postcards, cast iron, jewelry, books, boy scout uniforms, sleds, furniture, and tons of other unique items. There were quite a few items that piqued my interest but I had to resist as they were not practical purchases. I can't wait for my next trip to Baraboo to check out the new inventory at Oak Street Antiques!
