Get there & they had no cars available even though I was told otherwise over the phone. When I brought it up with the manager in Quincy to see if he could make things right - nothing they could do, not even a measly $20 credit. Horrible customer service model. When your car experiences issues while a customer is driving it and costs the customer their time and money - you do what is needed to make things right - . Apparently this is a tough lesson that Hertz Quincy mgmt staff will need to learn via this review and all whom may encounter it. Details: While I had a car from the Quincy Hertz the check engine light came on. When I called road side assistance they explained that although it is the weekend - there's a location about an hour away that can take the car and give a new one. I was out of town at the time in another state so I decided to make the trip just to be safe. After arriving there the lady at the desk tells me she has no cars available and she told the rep I was working with over the phone that she didn't have any. There was nothing they could do. There goes 2 hours of my time I'm never getting back. When I brought this up to the manager of the Quincy Hertz I expected there was something that could be done for the inconvenience I experienced. You would think they would want to make things right for the sake of returning business. Nope. Nothing they can do - is what it is. I won't be going back to give Hertz any business and I sure won't be recommending them to anyone I know. That's for sure!

The first car they gave me, the transmission shift knob came OFF while I was driving! Luckily I didnt get into an accident and was only a few blocks away, so I was able to drive back to exchange for another car. The SECOND car they gave me looked fine, until I was on the road and needed to use the car horn, that's when I realized that the horn in this car didnt work! Unfortunately, at this time, I was already far out of town on business and was not able to return the car. Therefore, I ended up stuck driving a car with no horn for 2 days. I went back for another exchange after I got back in town, the third vehicle had the service light on, the staff told me that the car just had service and it was just a computer issue. This problem didnt seem too serious after what I went through with the other two vehicles, so I just took it. With everything said, the service and staff here seems friendly enough. They just need to freakin upgrade their cars.

Title: Charged for a full month of protection I did not authorize…read more I want to share my experience to warn others about a billing issue I encountered with Enterprise. Initially, my insurance company arranged a short-term rental (about 5-6 days) for me at this location. When I picked up the car, I purchased protection coverage and paid a little over $200. I clearly told the staff that I only needed protection for those few days, and asked them to inform me if there would be any additional charges later. After that, my insurance company extended the rental to about one month. I called the branch to confirm the extension and explicitly told the staff that I did NOT want to continue the protection coverage for the extended period. I was told that it would be taken care of. However, after returning the vehicle, I found that I was charged for approximately 30 days of protection, totaling over $900. I never authorized this, and there was no written confirmation. Additionally, I was told I would receive a follow-up call, but no one ever contacted me. I am currently working with my bank to dispute this charge. If I cannot recover the money, I may have no choice but to pay it. I am sharing this so others can learn from my experience: - Do not rely on verbal confirmations - Always request written proof for any changes - Carefully review your final receipt after returning the vehicle I hope this helps others avoid a similar situation.

I rented (out-of-pocket) from this location for over a year. I worked with Nicole…read more I was extremely uncomfortable with Nicole's conduct as my rental agent. One example: I called someone else within the company to ask a question, and the next morning Nicole called me at home and yelled at me for speaking with anyone but her. I was severely chastised for about 20 minutes. I could hear that she was afraid that others in the company might see her as "uninformed", and I could also tell based on a previous conversation that she was taking her anger at someone else, out onto me. I did not appreciate being called while having my morning coffee in peace, and being dumped on like that. At the end of my long relationship here, (about $15,000 later), at the 11th hour, Nicole extended my rental without my permission, authorized funds in my bank account I didn't approve, and was avoiding my phone calls. This was done to cause me harm, stress and worry. I had finally been able to buy a car. Nicole did NOT like this. I suggest Avis find another representative to work at this office. I do not see things ending well with this one.

Despite being busy, he was friendly, professional, and clearly cared about making sure customers had a great experience. I rented a van because I needed to move some furniture, and they happened to have one available. The vehicle was spotless and well-maintained, and the price for the day was actually cheaper than what Home Depot charges. I've rented a lot of cars over the years, but this was honestly the best experience I've ever had with a rental company. Julio went above and beyond and is the kind of employee any business would be lucky to have.

Then, even though I showed them the type of vehicle I booked, they showed me some fine print in the subtext that read, "Vehicle type not guaranteed". I waited for 2 hours, nobody came, then when I came back the next day they charged me for an extra day... and charged me another full day for parking (I left my car in their lot). When I said I attempted to return the vehicle on time but that nobody was there, they said, "Sorry, not my problem." Ridiculous and cruel! They also charge you more if you book them off of Expedia, just be aware. Evidently there's some contract language that allows them to do that. "Ripoff" doesn't even begin to describe this company.
