I should have called the sheriff, and had her arrested for making threats of bodily harm. They should re think who they make customer facing, because being nasty makes customers never return, definitely not be loyal patrons. It's sad, because the sweetest, kindest general manager runs the store. He needs to know the LAST person who should be on the register is Patti.

On a recent trip with the kids we decided that we would eat at the cabin one night and grill some steaks, corn, and potatoes. What better way to celebrate being at a cabin, right? That is why we ended up at Hart's. This is like many small groceries stores you find in small towns throughout the country. It is what I remember groceries stores used to be like so that nostalgia always gets me. Does it have the best selection? No. Does it have everything you need? Probably not. But, is it still a great place to go? Absolutely. We were able ti find everything we needed for our meal and then some. We even picked up some firewood and smore's supplies. Heck yeah! There's even a section for individual drinks by the front door. The store was recently remodeled in the past few years, and the entrance looks great. There's always parking available, and the store can be easily reached through the main driving loop throughout town. This location is always clean and uncrowded, and the employees are helpful if you ever need anything. Town and Country is definitely a hidden gem, and well worth the trip if you ever need to drop by.

At least I avoided the cussing and getting walloped by a broom. The crust was buttery and of perfect firmness. The chocolate cream was covered in heavenly whipped cream, I assume homemade. Will absolutely be coming back in the Fall, for the leaf show. And a burger. And that pie. Great staff also. Very welcoming, including the owner.

You pay at the counter with the clerk, and tell them how much you put in your tank. What a true gem.

As for the food it's usually ok if you buy canned or boxed but if you buy meat or fresh fruit or vegetables most of the stuff is close to the expiration dates or past so always check the dates on everything. I've bought boxed meat from the frozen section that was two years past the expiration date and then they won't give you your money back without a receipt. also have bought ground beef several times that was spoiled and had been sprayed with red dye to make it look fresh but was brown on the inside (gross)! The store is usually pretty clean. There's no competition up here so most stuff is over priced and probably attained cheap because it's close to expiration date.

He then (creepily) demanded to know if we were going to vaccinate our children. He continued on and on, and then proceeded to mock us for saying we probably would vaccinate them. It was very uncomfortable, creepy, and uncalled for. And that also means that he hadn't been vaccinated and doesn't wear a mask, but breathes on fresh vegetables all day at this store. Except for him, it is a good store with nice employees. It would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the one creepy worker.
