I was purchasing a chef's salad. I asked for 2 french dressing packets. She told me there would be a .70 cent charge after the first one. She was not polite but matter of fact to the point. I told her in all my years this was the first time I heard this and was she new? She said no, she has been there over 3 years on night shift and if other staff was giving me 2 packets they were ripping off the store. I have never seen this girl before. She was just rude to me. So I will take my business next door from now on. Her name is Bri.

I felt like this store was truly taking safety precautions seriously. The aisles were appropriately marked in one way directions, the staff all had masks on, and I saw employees regularly sanitizing high-touch areas. At check-out they also had plexiglass between you and the cashier. They had an ample amount of registers open, even though it was a not busy time, and I was able to get in and out quickly. Their primary products are creative olive oils and vinegars, but they also have super cute kitchenwares and other dry pantry items (like pastas) to cook up a wonderful meal. Honestly, I'm not someone who enjoys cooking. But The Olive Scene really makes cooking more fun. I never knew how into olive oils and vinegars I could be. Since I discovered them a few years ago, I'm more tuned into how you can use their products on anything, from salads, to meats, to ice cream or even just in your water for more flavor (yes, you read that right). You can purchase most items in mini, small or large sizes. During non-pandemic times, you can try samples of the olive oils and vinegar and they typically host cooking demos in store. They have a fantastic newsletter where they include delicious recipes that are actually fairly easy to make. On my last visit, I purchased a mini Blackberry Ginger that has been delightful so far!
