Whaddiya expect from a grocery store across the street from the beach, after all? As one can imagine, the other thing that makes this store different is the total overcrowding of stuff in there. What do I mean? They offer beach supplies, T-shirts, beachwear and all that kind of stuff in addition to groceries. Huge ice machine right next to the beer cooler that takes up an entire side wall. I know the one aisle where the beer coolers were took up more refrigerator space than the entire dairy department. I know I'll never shop there again as we don't plan any more vacay time in the World's Most Famous Beach...from now until the cows come home. Speaking of which, isn't this the home of the so-called "Beef People"? Well, as the famous ad put it over 40 years ago..."Where's the Beef?" I know where the beer and the styrofoam coolers are. Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars.

The ideal for this is to embarrass you to not come back. It is not done to the cash or credit card customers and I find that this prejudice tactic is very untastful. So I found away to counter this action by just walking away as the recent is printing up and if asked if I want my recent I just say loudly " YOU CAN KEEP IT, I DON'T NEED IT" . If they want to see it then they can have it and I my even bring in my bills so they can read that too. They do give to the needy but don't bring your needy but in to there store. While most of the various food items and drink options are primarily Asian based, there's numerous Central and South American imports as well, mainly with canned products. I'm bad with names, but the lady who works there whenever I go is very nice. She's always giving tips on how she prepares certain things. Such as the frozen red bean paste buns. There's a decent sized refrigerated and frozen food section. Which alot of Asian majority products. Shops, at least in Florida do not have. The West coast has a shop like this on almost every street, but this isn't the West coast. Like I said at the start, this place is easily the best Asian food import shop in Volusia county.

They have better tasting and better valued deli than most major supermarkets in the area. Overall I really like Perrines. So far the food is real good and you have good values. I filled my freezer with red meats, chicken, pork loin and my favorite bacon. If you love bacon then you have to give this a try. Yes, the cost is a smidge more but once you have eaten their variety of meats you won't be shopping anywhere else. Be wise and shop the sales. Honestly I have never had a meal that I didn't enjoy or wasn't proud to share with friends and family. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable of all of the products...and will give you ideas on how to serve it up.

I felt that the customer service and overall atmosphere of the store was well worth it. In the last year, however, the customer service has declined so much so that today I almost freaked out on an employee (almost, I didn't tho) I remember the day when you asked an employee to help you find something they would walk you over and actually help you find it. I guess those days are gone and the prices are so ridiculous now I will never ever ever shop there again.
