Some items rotate seasonally. I'm waiting for cheese pizza to come back, but liked the new scones and muffins. In moderation. I like their produce section more than Aldi, they have a consistent selection week after week. It's rare they're out of regular items like bananas or apples. Lidl tends to get rid of products without much notice so feel free to use the comment section in their receipt surveys if looking for something. Or ask when checking out. Some products are seasonal. The middle of Lidl has some good bargains. I found a water flosser and rechargeable toothbrush with a timer. My wife really likes their house brand ice cream chocolate almond sticks. I can get in and out pretty quickly even with just one line typically open.

This was one of the worst experiences at a Walmart I have ever had!…read more Our nonprofit organization for over 20 years has taken families in need to Walmart during the holiday season to purchase needed items including food, clothes and toys etc. Today, December 13th was no different except for the treatment I received from this Walmart. I tried to call management the morning of our event to inform them that we would be coming to their site by 10:00 AM to pay for the goods for families. However, there was no answer after repeated phone calls to the store, so I got to the Walmart early to meet with the manager. When I got there the first manager informed me that I needed to have contact them first, I explained that I had tried. Later, I explained this same info to the front store manager . The front store manager asked her Asset Manager , to escort me out of the store while we had families who had children with disabilities in line waiting for us to pay for their goods. These so called professionals exhibited behaviors that were unnecessary, unprofessional and lacked the values of Walmart which according to their website is based on fairness and respect. Not to mention the people in charge demonstrated lack of good judgment. I had spent over $2000.00 in gift cards for families and certainly feel I and the families should have been treated better.

Over the past year, I have made it my personal achievement to become proficient in making tamales. Over the last eight months I have learned to perfect multiple different tamales, but I cannot call myself a master, as I have not put in the time of a true master. This is what led me to La Mexicana. A search for proper ingredients beyond just the simple masa and lard. I am always looking for fresh peppers when it's out of season that I cannot grow and dry myself. I now shop at a full service store at N. Broad at Spring Garden. It's an excellent store, wonderful, friendly and helpful employees clean and great selections. Due to excessive travel I rely on deliveries for my weekly groceries, the GIANT Direct delivery is terrible and reaching their customer service is impossible, cold items come warm and most fresh items sent expires in a couple days. They send you money back but don't resolve the issue. I find out that Giant is now owned by #AholdDelhaize a Dutch-Belgian multinational retail and wholesale holding company. Its name comes from the 2016 merger of two companies: Ahold (Dutch) and Delhaize Group (Belgian), which both have origins in the 1800s.
