They have some real issues here. They do not have prices marked well here at all. Many things say…read more$1 but ring up more, they do not show you a screen of the price of all when at the register ringing things up, they they overcharge you. I asked for a refund for the over charge or return it, she said she did it, but it never showed up on my credit card. Now I have to make a dispute with my credit card. Watch this store, they play a lot of games with overcharging people on merchandise. Not sure the manager knows how to do refund, but I was not refunded as promised by her and now have to do a dispute with my credit card company, which I am not happy with. Now I do not trust this store or their employees. One bad thing about DG is they do not show a screen of the prices of all when you are checking out like all other stores do, it is very problematic. Prices are all over the place now. I've seen items for $1.25, $1.50, $1.75... and without even thinking, I grabbed some Easter string decorations that ended up being $5 each. I didn't realize until checkout, which was pretty frustrating. The whole point of going to a dollar store used to be that you didn't have to think about prices--you could just grab a few cheap, simple things and go. Now it feels like you have to double-check everything, which kind of defeats the purpose. If I wanted to carefully compare prices or pay more for items, I'd just go somewhere else. Even places like Goodwill don't always feel like a deal anymore, so it's disappointing to see dollar stores heading in the same direction. At the end of the day, this just doesn't feel like a "dollar store" experience anymore.

Currently there are 408 stores in 28 states, several of which are in Florida. Ollie's purchases company liquidations, overstocks, and older items that haven't sold, and resells them in their stores for a discount. You can expect to see name brand items. Ollie's sells a little of everything, cleaning supplies, garden items, books, toys, food, health and beauty, automotive, holiday decorations, home improvements, electronics, flooring, housewares, and so much more. I had previously shopped in the West Palm Beach and Delray stores and they were great for stocking up on hurricane supplies. Ollie's always has a ton of inexpensive K-cups and cheap and unusual snacks. I usually grab some candy as incentives for the kids at school. On this trip I found the snack size bags I use to pack portion controlled snacks for my school lunches. This is the kind of store where you come in for one thing and pretty soon you have a cart full of stuff. The manager was one her handsfree cell talking and fighting with someone on her phone, I have never seen a more messed up Dollar General ever! Mediocrity even less than. So sad! The ones in Sebastian are much better and more organized, like the one by Fleming and CR512. They need some quality control management at these stores, this one is one of the worst we have seen ever.
