My father-in-law ordered some laminated wood planks for our upstairs remodel from Lumber…read moreLiquidators and my husband went to pick it up and bring it home today. The flooring itself is beautiful and is a pretty darn close match to the downstairs original wood floors from the 1940's. I was a little surprised, however, that when they loaded it into my husband's truck they left it on the pallet straight from the forklift. It make sense, I suppose, for keeping it together in the back of the truck but it was darn near impossible to unload at the house. My father-in-law told us that he was assured repeatedly by the owner that the flooring was appropriate for the bathroom as well. A basic Google search, HGTV, and our contractor confirmed it is a huge no-no for the bathroom and will warp in wet environments. Considering how much money was spent, this was pretty disappointing. Luckily, the bathroom upstairs is a very small portion of the remodel as it is a half bath.
