What a chaotic adventure…read more To be honest I never knew we had an Ollies here in Tampa (region) so i was more than pleased to find one in the area. It seemed like this one was fairly new. If not, big shout out to the team because it was looking clean and new. This Ollies did seem smaller than my Ollies back home in PA (miss you, Mom), but it had most of the same things. I was looking for toilet bowl clear ; specific yes but could not find it at all! Idk if they sell it at all but they do sell cleaning products, just not that so that was a loss. Ollies has a lot of random junk you don't know you need at really reasonable costs. It's like a half step from five below? Maybe? But like definitely not Dollar General, that's for sure. They have house hold items, books, toys, clothes, toiletries and more. My only issue this day was the customers which was not a store issue. Screaming children and when I tell you screaming , i moved to all ends of store and could still hear her. The pipes on that child. Wow. Man yelling at a cashier. It was the Wild West. I ended up getting a graphic novel and a cook book and got myself out of there. I also finally signed up for their rewards program. So it's a win for me.

The few prices that I was able to check on what I would normally pay seemed pretty close. If you know your prices, and you know what you want, and you find something that you would normally buy anyway, Ollie's could be a good place to stock up. Otherwise it's just like a jumble sale. Be prepared to be bombarded by Ollie's advertising on the walls and over the PA system.

What a fun afternoon! I have been meaning to go to this market for a while and am glad I did. It…read morewas September's market so it was a hot one. Dress for the weather because part of it is outside and the inside space has a lot of people coming in and out so if it is hot outside, it is hot inside. There were a lot of cool vendors at the market. I was looking for plants that were different from what I already have. I have a lot of succulents and cacti, a couple orchids and some other random plants so a good plant sale is always a good place for me. In addition to the plants there were many other vendors with crafty items, or specialty items or jewelry. However, I didn't find anything that I couldn't live without. A cool part about having the market here is that you also get to stroll through the creative clay area and see the art that people there have made, which is also for sale. They also have some artists working wheels so people could see how pots start. I think I enjoyed this part of the market more than the vendor portion this time around but I know I will be back. There were also a couple food vendors outside but nothing spoke to me that day and since Three Sisters Brewery is a block from the parking area, I went over there to have a snack and a CBD bev.

It was a beautiful day and there were a ton of people at the market and on the streets of St. Pete. I'm not sure if the market had grown since I haven't been in quite a few months or if there were more vendors due to it being the holidays but it seemed a little bigger this time. I love spending my money with locals! I saw LoudMouth Lips which is a fave place to get locally made lip and eye color. She had the most vibrant colors and I've found myself taking some risk on brightening up my makeup selections. I found some new folks too. An artist from the St. Pete area named Marcus who does some incredible mixed media prints. Some folks who sale yummy sausage and call themselves Crooked Johnson! Body Butters by Vanessa who makes her own lotions and colognes. The Sandoval and Amber smell fabulous. And one of my other faves for vintage clothes and accessories, Orange Grove Vintage. You can find all of these on Facebook and IG! So many awesome vendors! If you are in the St. Pete area on one of the Indie Flea Market Saturdays, stop by and support the small business and artists in your community!

I left with both on my first - and certainly not my last - visit to this clothing and accessory boutique. I was not really looking for anything but just wanted to check out the clothes, purses, jewelry and other merchandise that make their window displays so enticing. I can not remember the last time I felt genuinely welcomed into a store. Typically those working in clothing stores are talking, but more to each other than to anyone entering. I think everyone in The Shop greeted me or offered to help. And it was done in such a pleasant way that it never felt pushy. They asked questions about styles appealed to me and whether I have any holiday parties that might require a new dress. They seemed to hone in on what I would respond to very quickly. Before I knew it, the dressing room held several outfits for me to try on. Some of the outfits that they selected, which I just casually looked at on the racks, were outstanding choices. And they offered ways to accessorize with jewelry and belts that gave me some great options for dressing up or down. The store has a nice mix of merchandise in terms of colors and styles. I suspect new items sell fast so checking back frequently would definitely help your odds of finding your size. The prices are really reasonable and the quality is such that I really thought I would feel a little sticker shock when I glanced at the price tag but I was delighted rather than dismayed. I am probably on the more mature side of their target demographic but they definitely did not make me feel out of place. In fact it seemed the age mix of women in the store that day I stopped by was not a narrow range. This was such a great introduction to The Shop that I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who likes fun, flattering, fashionable clothes and appreciates a store that has scouted out great finds for you to just try on, take home and enjoy.

The Shop used to be THEE PLACE to go when I was in high school for trendy, feminine blouses,…read moredresses and accessories. I hadn't been back for seven-ish years until this past weekend when I stopped in with my friend. And truthfully not much has changed, but my perspective has. I'll start with the pros: I experienced excellent customer service. I was offered a glass of champagne upon entering the store. Rachel and (I can't remember the other girl's name) were super attentive, promptly taking the items we picked up into fitting rooms and going in the back to look for other sizes. There's a great variety of accessories to browse. Plenty of sale and last chance items to look at as well. Now for the cons: Parking is the worstttt (I went on a Saturday). There's a burger spot right across the street, so the limited street parking adjacent to the building could be occupied by those patrons (Perhaps on weekdays there are fewer patrons at the restaurant). There are a few spots in the back of the building which is where I ended up. I suppose you could park down the neighborhood street and walk. The selection was...underwhelming. I hate to compare businesses like this, but I frequent other boutiques with a similar target audience closer to downtown and their selections are much better. The prices feel out of touch to me, but that's not saying much. I don't like spending money. I found that the clothes weren't very size inclusive either. Would I go back? Sure. I picked up a cute blouse that was on sale and some distressed white denim shorts. You can definitely find things in there, but it wouldn't be my first stop.
