After rummaging through the cards I made my way through the store really quickly to see if there was anything that I needed to grab before I went home. Every time I shop for a large grocery order, I enjoy the savings at Martin's. It is somewhat of a…read moredistance for me, so I don't shop there often (maybe one a month). The last time I shopped my order was over $250 and I saved $80. That more than made up for the gas my car used in the trip to the store. However, after viewing my receipt I found a purchase I didn't recognized. I looked up the abbreviation and discovered it was for firewood. Huh? I didn't purchase firewood which cost 8.79. And I didn't even get the firewood. Well, I guess that takes care of the cost of the gas used to get there. Then I thought I would look at the rest of the purchases on the receipt. I noticed that I paid full price for the salmon that was on clearance. That was another $6.03 extra I paid for. But never mind, I still saved. Just not as much as I thought and I learned a lesson. Always watch to screen when checking out. Or at least look over the receipt before leaving the parking lot. One last thing that I should mention. The cashier was top notch, on the ball.
