Perhaps the selection is better, larger store, I am not sure, but I love it here! Great finds every single time! A bag of now & later candy (5 packs) only $1 and you get like 20 in a bag, talk about a steal! Granted, it's been a few months and I haven't seen the bag in here lately. The only downside, if it's a major holiday such as, Valentines Day, the balloons may run out, but rest assure this store pretty much keeps items in stock and the store is very tidy. The lines move smoothly on any given day. The parking doesn't tend to be an issue, but be careful crossing the street to get to the store, it's a very busy parking lot. Alongside this store, you will find, Roses, eateries nearby include: KFC, McDonald's and cannot forget about 7-eleven. If you are in the area, give this store a second look. You just may find something you don't see in your favorite dollar store where you live. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Thieves brandishing knives and threats with other weapons just to steal some toothpaste and febreeze. It was fucking ridiculous on a daily basis. I truly feel sorry for the ladies that have to work and close that store late at night. Loss Prevention knows how bad it is their words were " we know about the danger in the area it is our only store in Virginia that we need to hire armed security". They never did and customers and theives continue to walk all over the spineless gutless management. The store is so cluttered and junky I don't know how you would ever shop there. Their entire AC system is falling apart but they won't fix it because the store is in a low income area as opposed to their Virginia Beach location where if the AC was broken they would have it fixed right away for THAT clientele. Terrible experience all around.

I can go as early as noontime or as late as 830 pm and there's always a wait. But when you go in and find what you need the wait time isn't too bad. Worth the wait... Here you'll find the needs and wants for everyone in the family. Also items for in and outside the home. It's not the cleanest store you'll find but maneuvering may be a little difficult because the aisles are tight. I have been able to locate great deals from time to time. Anything from sundresses, pants that hug my curves to candy corns (candy) that my child loves, Roses has them all year round for $1 (a small bag). This store is located in a shopping center but since it's been open some of their neighbors have since closed. Alongside Roses you'll find: Citi Trends and that's it I believe. If you're in the area stopping in just may be worth your time. Enjoy | Have fun :)

Yeah, I was desperate. But something in my mind said keep checking around. The hour was getting late and dark was setting in. I tried one other store before coming into Big Lots. While that other store did not have anything to choose from, I stepped into Big Lots and about two minutes later, I found what I was looking for and it was a third of the cost of the one I found earlier. Big Lots has a lot of nice things from toys to everything home related. I even spotted some of my favorite jasmine rice at a good price. I will definitely be back soon. Other shops and eateries are located near this location and I love it. If you ever want to try new snacks, the selection is on point here. This particular Kroger is far removed from my local store. After a single visit I'm a fan. I really prefer the more spacious Kroger Marketplace stores for the variety and deeper offerings. An example is the reason I visited a store 25 minutes from my home. The beer selection is phenomenal and it's not as busy as Virginia Beach. So typically they can get special brews in and they will last on the shelf longer. They also offer a tasting bar which is unique. Prior to making the trip I spoke with the beer/wine manager Jermey to confirm inventory. He was great! My visit consisted of picking up a few limited release Founder KBS Stouts. I also tried one at the bar on tap and had excellent service by a female staff. I would recommend this particular Kroger for awesome service and selection of beer and wine.
