That all being said - it's not great stuff. Sure, if you want a mini football from a 5-year-old college bowl, you might get lucky here (no price noted on said ball). The "good" stuff is what you can find just about anywhere else, and for the same regular prices those other stores charge. I hadn't been to one of these stores before. But now I know (to avoid them). Really, a one-star experience. But a bonus star in case you find some outdated thing (like a college bowl mini football) that you dig.

They are selling live baby turtles as beach souvenirs, crammed into tiny plastic cages like they are disposable toys. Inside the ice-cold water were four dead turtles floating among the living ones. Seeing that alone was awful, but what happened next made me sick. I told an employee that another turtle looked like it was dying. She picked up the turtle, while it was still alive, and threw it straight into the garbage like it was trash. Not dead. Alive. Thrown away. I waited until she walked off, then pulled the turtle out of the garbage myself because I could not leave it there to die. I am now trying to save it. There were no care instructions, no concern, no humanity. These are freshwater yellow-bellied cooters, not throwaway vacation novelties. How many tourists buy these animals with no idea how to care for them? How many end up neglected, abandoned, or dumped into the ocean when the trip is over, where a freshwater turtle has no chance of surviving? What I saw was not just upsetting. It was cruel. It was cold. It was inhumane. These animals are being treated like cheap impulse items until they die, and the people selling them do not seem to care. Do not support this place. Do not give money to a business that treats living creatures as disposable souvenirs.

There is the Olde Store Antiques Shop, Ghost Rider Biker Leather and Motorcycle Helmets Shop, Pats Crochet Shop, Sassys Jewelry Shop, Junes Bead Shop, The Rug Man, Reds Rusty Rooster, Mikes Collectibles, Clock Repair Shop, Computer Repair Shop and several other shops as well. They are closed on Mondays but open every other day of the week. They have a lot of things to choose from, leather jackets, handbags, wallets, antique furniture, antique glassware and dishes, crocheted Christening dresses and other handcrafted items, clocks for sale and bring in your clocks to get them repaired, computers for sale and bring in your computers to get them repaired as well. The Rug Man has a LOT of awesome rugs and glassware and dolls. Great prices and a MUCH better and less expensive place to shop than the Panama City Mall is.

Publix is a little more high end than some of it competitors but if you plan ahead there are some great deals especially if you take advantage of their BOGO deals. Wednesday loves their Boar's Head Tavern Ham so that was our first stop after entering the store. The staff in the deli was very friendly and cut the portions perfectly thin just a bit thicker than shaved ham which was perfect we always purchase this in small amounts so it's always fresh other wise our cat will turn up her nose and walk away (yeah she's spoiled but deserving). We found everything we were looking for and was in and out of here in a few minutes, another great experience and it didn't break the bank. The large parking lot made finding a space close to the entrance a breeze even though they were quite busy - it's no accident Publix remains one of my favorite grocery stores here in Florida...
