So the carrabelle IGA here in town is my absolute go to for Blue Bell ice cream. I probably spend…read moreclose to a hundred bucks a week on ice cream and what not. Last night I bought a 15 dollar rotisserie chicken, and it was spoiled. I had bought it as they were closing,so I had to wait till the AM to return it. Immediate response I got was attitude, and the comment she made was she "couldnt just return EATEN FOOD like that" as if I had taken more than two tiny bites... I paid 15 dollars for this chicken. So she then begrudgingly said I could go ask the lady in the kitchen if she could make me a new one... Go and explain it to her and that the manager said I could ask her to make me a new one in exchange "Oh no, I can't do that" And I stated oh so I'm just stuck with a spoiled 15 dollar chicken you all sold me Looks me dead in the eye with a flat tone in her voice "YEP" So at that point yeah I'm a little pissed off, wasted 15 dollars and then get attitude for no reason, like im in there trying to get over on them and rip em off or something. So on my way out, in the parking lot I admit I lost my cool a bit, and turned the bag upside down and left the chicken there with them. The manager then comes out and called me a "LITTLE FAGGOT" Unfortunate that you all sell spoiled food to someone and then give them attitude like they're scumbags for trying to have you make it right.

I love this Bo Lynn's grocery store. It's a local shop; kind of a mix between a general store,…read moreconvenience store, community gathering spot, eatery, and history/visitor center. Food trucks are here several afternoons each week. We tried several dishes from "The Old South Cafe" truck and it did not disappoint on comfort food taste and quality! The shop also sells alot of Blue Bell ice cream pints (yum), lottery, beer, wine, assorted beverages, and ready to eat foods in the cold case such as: hashbrown or breakfast casseroles, Brunswick stew+biscuit, pimento cheese dip, chicken salad, and other tasty snacks. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (but you cannot bring your own alcohol onto the property due to the store's regulated liquor license), opened Tuesday-Sunday and usually 9am-7pm, year-round, and super-friendly folks in a quaint and historic store.

This is such an eclectic and cool little shop. It reminds me of many shops in small towns in other…read morecountries where it's the go-to place for everything you could possibly need. Miss Joy is the owner, and she is amazing! Bo Lynn's was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2017...it has been around since 1936 and is the oldest establishment in the small coastal community of St. Marks, south of Tallahassee. It was named after Miss Joy's husband Bo who has since passed. I often cycle there with friends and love hearing her saying how impressed she is that we "girls" cycled 16 miles to get there. The shop has everything from food and drink (very reasonably priced) to telephones, toasters, and more! Unfortunately in October 2018 the place suffered major flooding from Hurricane Michael, but efforts are underway to get inventory replenished and get it back to top shape. Miss Joy is the only employee and works 7am to 8pm daily...she has worked there since 1965! Miss Joy is full of southern charm and hospitality. Any time you are in the area, even if you don't think you need to buy something, drop in to check it out for yourself and come away with a slice of old Florida and hopefully some of her eclectic merchandise as well!
