This time it was a pitstop on the way back from Ren Fest. A place to eat and get off the road. And for Kid K to shop. I told her it would probably be busy since it was an outlet mall on a Saturday. It was not. Hardly anyone there. Half the stores were gone, empty, and a fair number of those still there were not open. We went to Carter's, TJ Maxx, BBW, and Pottery Barn. All huge, all with lots of interesting items. Most not at great prices, but a few real deals. Service at each was friendly. Not super easy to find each store, though there are signs at the end of each row. Easiest way to get around was to look at Yelp and see where each store was. No food to speak of in the mall. Fast food and a few other places out at the road. Restrooms were clean. And amusing (see pic.) The outlet down 71 slowly withered and died. This doesn't look that bad. Yet. It'll probably be years before I'm back, and I am not betting on it being open then...

I was informed it would take 1.5 hours. I waited and came in, the cheese sticks was done but there was no pizza so the woman at the register said she would try and throw one together as soon as she finished her line and it would take 5 mins to go through the oven and I told her that was fine. My daughter and I waited and walked around the store for another 20 mins and as I stood by the pizza counter, the woman named Misty rudely looked at me and said that she does not have time to mess with putting pizza in and she had to get her customers done first. I informed her that I was a customer from 1.5 hours ago and she continued to argue with me. I told her what the other woman told me she was going to do and I was yelled at saying "well it will be another hour" so I said you know what, that is freaking fine with me. She walked away. Then had a call in order right after that and told the person on the phone that she would have their pizza done in 30-35 mins. Like WTF. She has had an attitude with her CO worker as wellEver since I walked in to the store. But once it was all calmed down, she apologized to me and was trying to be very nice. So that is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1 or 2.

The restaurant is a walk up dairy bar type business that you order at a window and wait until your food is prepared. There is no dining inside but they do have four picnic tables to the rear of the business. The first thing I noticed was they have a good selection of hot dogs and ice cream and nothing else pretty much. They did have one sandwich but I can't recall exactly what it was, there were only a few sides. Unless I completely missed them on the menu, there weren't any fries or onion rings. Sides were potato salad, Mac & cheese, Cole slaw I believe and maybe like to other items that I can't remember. Everything seemed to be on the high end of pricing to me, now I don't mind to pay up for good food. The issue I had is, our food was not great. I had two dogs and mac & cheese and honestly the Mac and cheese was the best thing I ate. My wife had a dog and potato salad, she said her potato salad was good but she couldn't eat all of her hot dog. She said her hot dog was tough and chewy and lacked much flavor, she didn't like the hot dog sauce either so she threw away two thirds of her hot dog. I ate one and about half of the second of my dogs and threw the remaining half away. The sausage was bland without much flavor and the buns were a soggy mess. The worst part of it is, our lunch cost $34 for three dogs, a side of potato salad, a side of mac & cheese and two drinks. Needless to say we were disappointed after reading and hearing great things about the restaurant. I doubt we go back with all the other choices in the immediate area.
