HT is definitely more expensive than our usual shop at ALDI but this is definitely higher quality and their "generic" brand is excellent. There was one customer in the store near the register area shopping but none of the employees in the store were assisting that customer. As I walked in with products in my hand explaining that I wanted to get a credit to purchase something different all three employees kinda stumbled as finally one of them stepped up and offered to help me. She led me to the register to begin my return but then told me it would be a minute as she would be checking out the customer who had been shopping with no employees helping her. Mind you there was another employee who also came up to the register desk but did not offer to help me. So I waited . After issuing the credit refund to the store gift card both of the employees went into the back room leaving me to shop with no assistance. I had to ask several times for one of the store employees standing at the front of the store to come and help me. By this time there were NO other customers in the store. I have to say I have never felt so ignored and unseen as I was the entire time I was shopping in this store. The staff had no interest in helping me and for me to have to ask over and over for someone to help me when there were no other customers in the store was just disappointing. I won't ever understand how four employees had to be asked to help a customer in a store that had no other customers. It was really frustrating. I am sorry I ever went there. I won't ever make that mistake again. No customer service.

Got them at a great price too, I wish they were on sale though because who doesn't love a sale, right? Women restocking the go backs was very helpful in trying to help me find the size I needed. A couple of "Customer Service" people were standing close and heard. All they did was laugh. Zero help and if I could give zero stars, I would. I walked next door to Harris Teeter and shopped for what I needed. Shopping on line to try and save time and money with Target was a complete waste.

A package of smoked salmon, the blue eggs, that excellent canned tuna, and a block of the three year aged cheddar all went straight into the cart. As much as the $1.50 hot dog was calling my name, I skipped it and saved my appetite for a later stop on this morning's route, which felt like the right kind of discipline for a day that was already testing my patience. But then you step back outside and remember where you are. This shopping center is not easy to navigate even on a quiet day, and on a sunny weekend morning it becomes something else entirely. The short aisles are a challenge because people wait for a single space to open and in doing so block the entire lane, and the uneven grading means you're constantly rolling up or down as you try to find an escape route. The twisty lanes probably do keep speeds down, but they also make it harder to see what's coming, and finding an exit feels like solving a puzzle you didn't ask to play. If you can swing it, shop during less busy times like a Tuesday afternoon when the sun isn't drawing half of Matthews into the same parking lot. Weekend mornings with blue skies are bonkers, and no amount of inexpensive delicious food can fully take the edge off that particular adventure. In general, a better vibe; However - I don't like that they don't have a Self-Serve Check Out Option; Some of the Cashiers can get a little arrogant. Again - Better selection of items at this location. Parking lot can get a bit hectic, however - lots of movement. Lots of great deals sop don't even think about walking out with the Butter that you thought you were going to get. You aren't getting away without spending $150.00 USD per every visit.

I have really taken to doing a large percentage of my weekly shop at Aldi. I may have said that twice because it's really true. No, Aldi doesn't have everything but what they do have makes up the core of my shop. Probably 80% of what is on my grocery list in in stock at Aldi and I'm thinking that the price at the register is maybe 60% of what I do at HT. It's a real deal. Aldi keeps their prices down by not having a wide variety of items, usually just one brand. They do not bag your groceries, that's on you. They do not give away their grocery bags, so either buy them or bring your own reusable bags. And always remember to bring a quarter to borrow a shopping cart which you get back. They did not have what I was looking for but ended up grabbing a few miscellaneous things that I saw that were a bit cheaper than even Walmart. I honestly didn't really see an employee except for one who was stocking up a shelf. I was surprised to see that Aldi now has self checkouts, which I had to use because they did not have cashiers at all. I was hoping to look at their non food options as sometimes I've found really good finds from laundry products to outside gardeing things. Unfortunately, they did not have a good selection of those things. This aldi did consist mainly of just grocery items. No big deal, now i know. They have an open parking lot with plenty of parking options. Other than that, normal Aldi finds nice store, and I would go back if I'm ever in the area.
