No alarms went off and the system still let me proceed to payment unhindered. There's a huge Christmas vibe right now. Lots of decor for reasonable prices. I picked up a nice "Joy" sign for my front porch for $8.99. Unless you're hitting up thrift stores, you won't beat this price until the after-season sales begin.

I just picked up a Christmas scented candle -- if you see something you like make sure to get it because they may not have it again if it's an annual offering.

Some of it was high priced and some was reasonable. They had all the typical stuff they always did....households, necessities, seasonal, & holiday. The store had a filthy look, like it needed a deep clean. Stains were lurking on many surfaces & appeared to not have been touched in ages. I did buy a beach sign I liked. The food was old but we were under the understanding the fried chicken was fresh. So we asked about ordering the dark meat because that's all both of us eat. The lady said "no" "you have to get everything or I can't sell it to you"! So, we relented as we were so car tired.and got it the way she was selling it. The we chose the Mac n cheese and one more side. The mashed potatoes were dried up and they didn't have any thing else. So, my wife chose the onion rings. The did "look " fresh. And she gave us 4 / 2 by 2 rolls! We got back to the hotel and my wife put out that food. Everything was old we ate some chicken and Mac n cheese but the onion rings weren't edible. Eat The store was great but avoid the Deli at all cost! Had we been treated better and told the food was old we would have purchased Subs. Because of the rudeness of the deli lady the reviewer Only give them 4 stars Kroger in La Port Indiana beautiful store with a wide variety of groceries. Deli hot food is pre-historic!

One of my daughters friends ordered flowers from a local floral shop & when she got the bouquet home she noticed the flowers were in horrible condition and some of the flowers looked brown & wilted. Even though Tracey had a full day due to Valparaiso's homecoming, she asked us to come back in a half an hour and promised to fix them. She did more than that! They looked absolutely beautiful she refreshed them, rearrange them and even added some gold accents! The bouquet was truly beautiful! And she honestly saved the day!

So when you stand in line and have to listen to a customer compare notes with the employee about guys, really not interested as a customer to hear that.
