I purchased strawberries and grapes today I got them and the grapes are OK but the strawberries…read morelooked really good but when I touched them, they just smashed they were rotten. You couldn't tell it from them the had literally them out and touch them and they just mash it. It was jumped, and I got stuck by the darn things.

I don't appreciate being told "if you use it again, I'll ban you, and this is the only grocery…read morestore in town". I now have to believe that the store has skimmers on their machines, because I'm prohibited from checking, and I find that to be a massive red flag. If you have nothing to hide, let me look, I guarantee no risk. Don't threaten me and point out you have a monopoly over the town, or at least perceive you do. I tried to reach out professionally, to address the confusion, tried to offer a proper demonstration, show her the documentation, tried to give a full rundown of how the device worked, and come to an understanding about how the ban of the device is unreasonable....tried to. She wasn't having it. Rather than hear out something that would have benefited her, her store, and her customers, she opted to interrupt, skip straight to the ban threats, and make it very clear who was in charge. She straight up told me, and my co-ceo, she knows everything about the device, and yet displays zero knowledge, nor has she seen the device. The conversation could have ended with her being better informed, and customers being safer. She chose ego instead. Apparently the manager, Jessica Hood, bans the use of card skimmer detectors. In the rise of card skimmer attacks, this is becoming an item customers should own, without fail, and be allowed to use, without a manager threatening to ban you and gloating about how inconvenient that would be, because it's the only grocery store in town. I own a version called the HunterCat, super affordable, made for chip and deep insert readers, which can be home to the hardest to detect skimmers, as there's little to no visual indicators of compromise. To make it clear, Jessica Hood states the skimmer detector interferes with equipment. It literally can't. It doesn't have the ability to send signals, or power. It has a few passive sensors that detect abnormal magnetic fields and signs of tampering, specifically skimmer hardware, and requires no more interaction with the point of sale device than your credit card does. It works while the machine is on, it works while it is off, because it doesn't care about the machine, just what might be hiding inside. Here's how it works: It has 3 indicators, danger, suspicious, safe, red, yellow, and green corresponding. Turning it on, it flashes all leds to show it's turned on, and will blink them individually to indicate shutdown. Push the button, insert into chip/deep insert reader, wait about 1 second, pull it out, keep an eye on the color of light that flashes. Green means you're fine, yellow means scan again, red means scan again but use best of 3 -- if 2 red flashes, report it, do not use the machine. I'm gonna take the necessary steps to have this rectified, as I fully believe this goes against the community's best interests. Banning skimmer detectors designed not to cause interference is indefensible. The HunterCat runs $50, or if you're made of money, SkimScan and its companion device SkimSwipe allow you to scan both chip/deep insert card readers, and card swipe readers for skimmers.....for about $500 per device....ew.
