Well, it was the opposite of that. There were boxes everywhere. The employees were rude. And quite frankly it wasn't very clean. If you are in town, I do not recommend going to this dollar store.

Who the heck would have thought I would be reviewing the dollar general - or the DG as my colleague…read morecalls it - of all places? Certainly not me, but I was certainly surprised in stopping in on my latest travel to Decatur, for work. My colleague and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, which just so happens to be across the street from the DG, which I made my way to more than once on my visit. In this store, lies EVERYTHING one could want or need, all for under $20! Seriously - everything! I stopped in first for some snacks (think gummy bears and pretzels) and came back for a second time after discovering WINE for $6 in the corner. I repeat, $6 bottles of Barefoot wine. Beer and some malt liquor is also available. LIKE WHAT. I then walked my happy ass back to the hotel and proceeded to tell everyone back home in Colorado how badass the DG was in Decatur. When making another stop in Decatur, I WILL RETURN!

When I was there I do have to say that finding things in there was a lot easier and I do appreciate that. My only problem with the Dollar Tree now is; first it went to $1.25, now I've seen prices on up higher and higher they seem to keep going, shouldn't they have to change their name soon? The selection of school supplies was impressive honestly, brand name Sharpie markers in every color you could think of . This is why I gave them 4 because they're trying so I'm impressed by that. I've purchased lots of items here for church donations such as going away gifts for college kids, and stocking stuffers. Also they have a good assortment of greeting cards for cheap! I've gotten cleaning supplies here also. Customer service here is friendly and helpful if they aren't covered up with business and the store is neat and organized. I've used their website to order things for Mom and the prices are super cheap and shipping is free if you spend enough money and it's not much maybe $25.00. The Best thing that has came into Clarksville . They are very friendly . They have almost anything…read moreyou need , without having to go to Grant or Guntersville. I stop by almost every time I go by . If I ever forget something after going to town , I always stop by. They almost always have what you need. Friendly, and very helpful. More businesses should look at this business. I have never passed by without the parking lot being full. Great Business and great location.

The Hometown Grocery in Decatur is not enforcing customers to wear a mask. The notice is on the…read moredoors but people are walking in unprotected. I notice several customers walking around without a mask on, I got out in a hurry and will never go back. The manager is walking around without a care in the world , putting his customers at risk. So unprofessional !!!
