The Hallsville store is cluttered and dingey. The selection is limited. The doors, registers, etc., always seem to be broken. To get there you have to cross a parking lot with crater like pot holes.

The store is a pretty good size for a Dollar General. Most of the checkout lines are self serve, but that's just the times in which we live. Everything was clean and orderly, and there were no boxes on the floor in the aisles, which was nice. I hope it stays that way, because for some reason Dollar General's tend to keep some of their merchandise in boxes on the floor.

This is a new location that was built within the last 6 months. St. Clair is a little town off…read moreI44, so a new grocery store is a big deal! It might be one of the smallest Save A Lot's you have every visited, but it has all the essentials you need. The building sits right on the corner of the 2nd or 3rd busiest intersections of St. Clair, but it's easy to miss the entrance if you are not paying attention. As you can guess, we missed it and turned around but you cant turn in from the other direction. As we made another uturn to go back again we realized the additional entrance on the East side of the building. There isn't alot, OK any other options anymore in St. Clair. It was a nice addition to the community.
