Stated to him he needed a new card, then proceeded to give him the non active card and pocket the loaded card. After checking the receipts an seeing the barcodes don't match. Cashier and manager acted as if it was a joke. STOP STEALING AND GET YOUR OWN.

It appears clean, but there is a distinct smell within that just gives me a headache. If you need a cheap gift for a cheap friend - this might be the place to shop, because they actually do have a large selection of cheap. Having said that - sometimes cheap is the way to go and I certainly have picked up some items in this store. However, the food items seem to carry a short shelf life then most grocery stores! The staff is friendly enough when they are around and checking out is easy if you aren't in a hurry or there is no one else in the store! I'm all for a bargain, but sometimes it just isn't worth it. I'm afraid this business is failing my review. On the plus side - it's cheap and has it's own private parking lot!

These are chain stores and usually carry the same products so obviously expect typical cheapo items. My only complaint is that sometimes the line gets long and they take awhile to open a second register. It doesn't smell and there isn't moldy jerky. This place has probably changed hands since that other review from 2013.

A woman cut all of us in line. When we were like "listen lady you just cut us all off" staff asked her to go to the back of the line. She literally said "but I'm from the Chautauqua institution!". I said "And?!? Me too!" She had a fit and we all laughed at her. Staff kept a straight face. Kudos to them.

It's got just about everything you're looking for, except high-end pricey stuff. I usually find everything I'm looking for, except this one time, I was looking for a shower caddy. The manager said they didn't carry them at our location. A couple weeks later, they had shower caddies. Thank you, Dollar General and our great manager, Gary, for getting this item in the store. They are always expanding and getting new items. The salespeople are always so friendly and very helpful (Laura is my favorite DG helper). I always leave with a smile on my face. Don't know what I'd do without my Dollar General.
