The signs on the door indicated the price expectations for certain days of the week. The bin set up is not like a traditional thrift store, but they did have shopping carts available. I also noticed a sign that said that strollers were not allowed, so I would not recommend coming with your small infant unless you have an infant carrier to let you be hands free. While browsing I saw some new striped Target heels on a shoe rack in different sizes and a bunch of random household items in the various bins. I didn't see much plus size women's clothing or clothing in general. I am sure that the items vary based on the day and time you'd come in. However, I am not sure if I would return any time soon. On my first visit, I came in to buy candy and ending up browsing. And during that initial visit, I appreciated how many items this store has to offer and how well it's laid out. The patrons and workers take care of this store. I don't know how long it's been open, but it doesn't have the "tired" feel of most discount stores. And it's neat. Things aren't all piled up on each other in any random area; each section is separate and where you would expect to find something it's usually there. I didn't initially think of Deals as a "dollar store" but there are a lot of things that are $1. If I had kids, I come here every other month or so, give them $10 and let them go crazy. And if I were just starting out and not sure of what I needed, I would come here to buy dinnerware, glasses, etc. The prices are comparable to (and in some cases lower than) Wal-Mart and Target, so why deal with the parking and long check out lines of a bigger store? They carry a wide range of home décor, and the prices are very solid. Definitely one of those spots where you can stumble on some real finds without blowing your budget. The only downside of the experience was who I assume is the owner following me around the store, trying to strike up conversation and push me to buy something. It felt less like friendly customer service and more like pressure -- almost like he was begging me to make a purchase, which took away from the browsing experience a bit. At first I was ready to hear an angry or at least a partly frustrated voice - but rather, they were just trying to give us a reminder call. When we finally reached the store and I apologized for the delay, a staff named Laura said that they try were just trying to be thoughtful since they realize many families have more things to take care of. It gave me the warm fuzzies to encounter such considerate service in midst of rough pandemic times - this is definitely a Kroger that goes above and beyond in our experience!
