Finally, after 20 minutes of waiting got in my car and is now going to the other end of Fox Farm road to try to find this guy that's driving around with my $228 worth of groceries. Why did it say he was going to be here at 2:27 when there's nobody here and here it is 450 and I still don't have anybody in front of my driveway. This is absolutely ridiculous. It's a very small grocery store and I can't say I've been in many Save-A-Lot locations, but it was a mess when I came in. They carry some name brand stuff and lots of non-name brand items. When I do stop it's only for some necessity's. It's not like Desoto has much for options. It's pretty much here, Wal-Mart or Walgreens, so depending on what is needed, it does be the crowd of Wal-Mart. I would give a better rating, but they need to do a better job of keeping the place clean. The facility doesn't look like it's that old but it will be quickly if they don't keep an eye on it.

ALTHOUGH, last time I went in there I was sorely disappointed and the meat department. I don't know if it was incompetence or laziness.....I asked to have a 5lbs bottom round sliced at 1/4 inch for jerky. The guy asked if he could do that to another employee and I explained (I shouldn't have to) that I've had it done before. This is the butcher area of the meat department......a lady walked up and tells me it will take forever to get done . I said "to slice a 5lbs bottom round?" She said "ya, you usually need to call in a day before to have something like this done so we have time." Absolutely mind blown . It's take 3-4 minutes tops to slice one. Mind you, this is after I explained I've had it done multiple times. I just laughed and left. I didn't even trust them to slice it at this point. She told me it would take approximately 1 hour to accomplish lol. I left and had it down somewhere else in under 10 minutes. While this place is usually just OKAY, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after this interaction. Obviously I'll still go back for some things, but I'll be avoiding this meat department. I would rather pay a little more somewhere else than deal with that type of service again.

While the young man started filling my order (which was his first day, and he was very polite. "Yes sir, no sir polite) I asked him if my 2 sides were proportional to the size order I was purchasing. He stated that you get 2 1lb container per side, no matter what size chicken package you purchase. So I be an to explain that it wasn't fair that you got the same size sides for a 4 piece package or a 16 piece package. He asked another employ who stated to me that that was the policy, and if I wanted, I could use my 2 sides for the same item. I stated that I wasn't really getting two sides, just one, in two containers. So I'm hoping that anyone reading this, can understand what I was trying to get across to them. If you are advertising 2 sides, you should get two different sides, proportionate to the size package you are buying. I know this should not be a big deal, but they didn't accommodate me with my concern. This is not the way you take care of your customers, but I guess they really don't care to keeping customers. Had they helped me out, this review would have been more favorable.
