On 1-19-23 I called the Generator Doctor about my Kohler home generator not cranking. I explained…read morethe circumstances as well as I could, and I was told that no doubt my generator had been fried by a nearby lightening strike or maybe a power surge. I was told that I probably would be needing a new generator. He showed no interest in actually making a service call. I called another company and their tech came out on the 24th. He found and repaired the issue within 10 minutes, which was a solenoid terminal had come off the starter. After making the simple repair, he said he could not in good conscience charge me a service fee, but only charged for his milage. I will give the Generator Doctor an extra star as he did promptly return my phone call on the 19th, but otherwise, I am not impressed with the Generator Doctor!

Do not use Backup Generators he is very dishonest. He doesnt stand by his work or give you any…read moremaintenance paperwork showing you had your generator serviced. He charged me 3 times more for a surger protector then what it should cost. He doesn't ever call back when you try to get ahold of him. He runs his phone number under another name. Jerry is very Shady and doesn't take care of business. He is higher than most generator companies. He only has 1 star reviews so let that speak for itself.
