Last two visits to store #13816 have been a serious disappointment. The store was overstocked on the floor with rolltainers and empty boxes - barely able to walk through the aisles. There were (the last visit) only two employees and no one greeted me; the cashier (Felicia) didn't even acknowledge me at the register; asked if I found everything I was looking for or even said "have a good day". In retail - good customer service is the foundation of the experience and Felicia lacked greatly. On previous visit, there were at least five (5) sales associates on the floor - again, no greeting, no asking if I needed assistance, nothing. Continued with my shopping and made it (after an extremely long line) to the cash register - there was only one open. The cashier (Sam) didn't greet, ask if I found everything, etc. I saw the associates (Felicia and a boy named Joey) and they allowed the line to get as long as it was.
I have been in two other Dollar General stores - one in Muldraugh, KY (on Dixie Hwy) and one by Tony Brown auto dealership in Brandenburg, KY that have at least sales associates acknowledging you the moment you enter the store; even if that's all they do. Radcliff's Dollar General, by Rural King, has better customer service than the DG going into Indiana (store #13816). That store needs a complete overhaul of employees for a better experience for customers. read more
