Tech said my capacitor was bad so he replaced it and it didn't fix the problem. Next he attached a garden hose to the compressor and ran water over it for several minutes. Still no improvement. Told me the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced and because the unit was old, several other components as well. $6000. I told him I needed to think about it. $89 for service call. I contacted another AC company and since he had just had a cancellation he was able to come quickly as well. 20 minutes later the AC is running and cooling my 94 degree house. $90 for the service call no parts needed. It was a loose wire. So I got an$89 lesson from NOW and a $90 repair from the second company. I do not recommend NOW and will not be calling again.

The technician called me and said it was also low on Freon but that was to be expected because these units regularly leak Freon. After paying him $830 a friend of mine told me that that is baloney that these are closed systems and there must be a leak. I called them back they sent someone out determined there were two leaks (why didn't they figure that out in the beginning?) and that it would cost another $1830 to fix the leaks. Understandably wary, I contacted another company who came out and fixed the system for $820 total. They also told me that the parts were covered by warranty which Aire Serve neglected to mention. I believe with all my heart that they were taking advantage of what they thought was a stupid elderly woman. I am a realtor in the Branson area and I love helping my clients find good reputable companies. This is not one of them.

Cashed his 89 dollar check. We decided to replace the unit ourselves only to discover that the freon lines are still under full pressure and that the issue seems to be that a single wire to the thermostat had come lose. This company lied to my 77 year old father who can't even walk up the stairs to inspect it himself and attempted to steal thousands from him for an entirely new unit. This company is trash.
