Two stars for a restaurant that I would not necessarily recommend but is there if you need it. Disclaimer: I am a very big hot dog person. When I say that I mean a good quality beef frank or any sausage but Dogma, sadly, does not have. I have visited this establishment twice the first time I just went for a regular hot dog. I got a chili cheese dog and the quality of all items included in it were no good. I just remember thinking I'm not coming back here. But, I returned because I wanted to try their sausages. I ordered an Italian sausage, which I love! Sadly, it was the most low quality Italian sausage that I have ever had. The bread and the peppers were not bad but very forgettable. Although this place is not expensive for the quality of food that you're getting it could be cheaper. The service is fine and it is pretty fast I understand this establishment has been around for a while and I think that's what's keeping it in business. Still craving a hot dog from the other day, we wound up here for lunch. It did not start out that way. Two other places we wanted to go to are only open now for dinner. And one place, we could not find. Saw this place as we were heading north on Biscayne. And yes! They had parking in a small lot. So many places here don't have any and/or the street parking is limited. So that's a plus. They have a big menu -- and not just hotdogs. But that's what I came for and even the list of hot dog choices was long. I opted for a coney -- with brown mustard and sauerkraut. I upgraded to a foot long size and also had them butterfly it on the grill. I added a small side of baked beans. The hot dog was great! The beans were just okay. My husband got their chili dog -- with chili, cheese, and yellow mustard. He added an order of well done French fries. The fries were crispy. Yes! And he liked his hot dog, as well. You order at the window. And pay. Then they call your name when your food is ready to be picked up. There's no inside seating, but all the tables are either under an awning or an umbrella. And luckily, there was a nice little breeze as we sat outside eating our lunch. As you can imagine, they also do a big takeout business. This is fast food as it should be. It reminded me of a beach side restaurant I used to go to years ago in Dania. I'm sure they will continue to do quite well here. Love Dogma for a quick bite. The burgers are amazing. Honestly can't go wrong with any of the burger options. The onion rings are always super crispy and the hotdog is a very typical hotdog experience lol the taste reminds me of the NYC hotdog stands. This place was one of my favorites before covid. Today I had an unbelievable experience. The cashier did not give me my drink when I ordered my meal. The person before me got theirs and after me. I sat down and saw every one waiting had thier drink. Some in cups with ice, some with bottles. So I went up to the 2nd window where the cashier was wiping trays, a lady before me asked to change her order and the cashier stopped what she was doing, and changed the order fir the lady. I asked the guy who was standing by the side fridge near the register. He gave it to me. I then asked if he was the manager, he said yes. I told him what happened. Shocked, I walked away, and then came back to the counter, he asked do you want your money back? I said yes, but not for the drink. The cashier now behind him stated her food is ready, before he went to the register, I said I'll take it, he stated oh no, she's not getting anything, and proceeded to ring the refund. This is a local in my area and it's been here for years and we finally decided to try it out. When we got here we realized all the options available. It wasn't just limiting to hot dogs. I got a Philly cheese steak which was not only huge but delicious. Crys got a New Orleans Po' Boy which was great too. Only complaint is that the shrimp was not peeled so you couldn't bite into it. Everyone was telling me this was all the hype and I finally got a chance to check them out. The food was very subpar. Can definitely make a better version at home yourself. The service was very dull which was fine, I was focused primarily on the food and it did not hit its mark. One of the buns were hard and stale, there was nothing special about anything. My girlfriend got the fried Oreos but could only eat one due to how saturated it was in oil, literally dripping. It's as though they did an extra dunk in grease before serving it. My second time dining here. Food is pretty inexpensive considering the mountain of overpriced food on biscayne. Reminds me kind of like fair food? The onion rings were the show stopper for sure. Fries were good as well. The hotdog was ok, nothing to rave about. The New Orleans po boy was good as well, the only complaint was the little shrimp still had the tail on (removed them before taking picture). Otherwise food is pretty standard deep fried goodness. The parking is limited and you dine outside. They have tables and umbrellas for your covered dining enjoyment. Counter service, walk up order then they call your name when it's ready. The lady at the register was very nice and efficient. She was a one woman show as far as taking the order, making the drinks and calling out food orders. Food came out fairly quick but also consider the place was pretty empty. We were 1 of 3 table dining tonight. Moving right into my review, this was a damn good hot dog! For starters, the hot dog itself was very meaty and didn't taste like there was any fillers. It was also larger than I expected which was fantastic! As for the toppings, found the bacon was crispy and fresh, loved the sauteed onions on top, and bbq sauce was nice element for sauce! I had to put my dog to sleep today. I know, you're thinking, "WTF does this have to do with a restaurant?" Well, first, it was my deceased Mom's dog - my last piece of her really. Not only did they make her a burger patty & throw in some bacon but she realized that she forgot her wallet & they told her to come pay later. Thanks to them, my nervous little Lucy Loo was completely calm at the vet, happily chowing down on her last supper prior to crossing the rainbow bridge.
