He is a high energy 55 lb dog so I didn't want my mom walking him. In mill valley, he was used to amazing leash free walks and hikes with other dogs so it felt like a huge downgrade for him to do short leashed walks on pavement in my mom's neighborhood. We were so fortunate to find Strutt your Mutt - sibelle and her team pick up my dog and he goes on leash free walks in nature (no concrete jungle), clearly having fun and playing with other dogs. He comes home happy and tired and he LOVES them, which as an owner gives me huge peace of mind. They are competitive on pricing, so warm and loving with the dogs, and have been there for me in emergencies when I needed them to take him for longer. They also do overnites. Sibelle and her team will work with you and your needs and is always so responsive by text. She often sends us beautiful happy pics of our boy running around and having fun in stunning locations. He is definitely spoiled with these walks. This is a huge step up from standard dog walking. If you care about your dog and want the best experience for your dog, I highly recommend!

Not only did we have to cut our trip short, but the standard of care that was promised was not delivered. Lorna promised to call when she started to let us know everything was OK. When I hadn't heard from her, I got nervous and called her. Lorna had trouble getting the front door key to work, but instead of calling (she had multiple phone numbers to use and instructions to call if anything came up), her plan was to try again the next day -- without feeding the cats or letting us know that there had been a problem. That judgment on her part nearly caused my fiance to fly home immediately. We suggested that she try WD40 in the lock -- rather than the wax she had thought of trying -- and she got in. I should note that we examined the lock and the key upon our return and had absolutely no trouble locking or unlocking the door. We locked and unlocked it a couple of dozen times and were able to open the door every time. After that first day, we felt we needed to check in every day, and when Lorna reported more trouble with the lock, we decided to return early as we did not trust that she could reliably manage the situation. She had also promised to clean the 3 litter boxes once per day (if not, it can get to be quite a mess). We were gone 4 days and the boxes had never been cleaned. Upon our return, there was urine and feces outside all of the boxes. Lorna also promised to clean out the water dish (we have a drink well), it was dirty and there was food debris in the bottom. Bottom line...Although Lorna seems to be a nice person who cares a lot about animals, she did not demonstrate the level of professionalism one would expect from a full-time pet sitter. If and when we need a cat sitter again, I plan on calling our veterinarian for a recommendation.

We have occasion to require her services one day a week when Mr. Grumpy commutes to the South Bay. The bright spot in the day for Ozzie and Willie is when Cindi comes to take them for a strut. Ozzie adds: "Cooper and Cooper's mom used to take care of me when I was just a wee pup. It was great. Cooper taught me how to bark like a big dog, help with the pre-wash while Mom loaded the dishwasher, and that I must share toys. I am now a full grown, well-adjusted, happy-go-lucky, household hound and I'm so glad the 'rents still have Cooper's Mom come take me for walks. She's the best." Willie wants you to know: "I was adopted into the family about a year ago and had no history with Cooper's Mom. I was a bit wary of her at first but she made it clear that she loves animals and I couldn't help but feel smitten and charmed by her. Unfortunately, it was not a match (our little girl was way too shy and reserved to be a good fit for Basia's pack). But we so appreciated Basia's proactive and kind communication throughout the process. We got to spend some time with Basia and meet some of her other doggie clients, and I was so impressed by her attention to detail with all of the dogs, her honesty and transparency about anything we asked, and the fact that her space is so neat, clean, and organized. She loves her job so much that she has pictures of the dogs she cares for all over her house, which is really sweet. I wish it had been the right match for our dog, but I appreciated Basia's honesty about why it wasn't. I would feel completely comfortable recommending her to others based on the interactions we had with her.
