They did wonderfully with my husky. But there was a lot of chaos in the kennels so she got nervous and had an accident in her kennel. But they bathed her again at no charge obviously so the appointment took longer than usual. They get pretty booked so you had to schedule in advance. They are a little pricey too but not to bad. They only accept cash or check. No cards. So that was a little inconvenient but overall my experience was good. read more

Everyone was so beyond awesome here. I'd been to one other groomer since moving to Killeen from California and I would never go back there. I found this place here on Yelp and I was very pleased on how everyone there treated me and my fur babies. They were informative and very nice. They went beyond in service by letting my 16 month old play around the shop while I handled paperwork and payment. The groomers came out to meet the dogs and listen to me when I told them my teacup Yorkie was very squirmy when being handled. They helped by asking questions to make sure the cut i wanted for both of them. The two ladies upfront were warm and welcoming. I have been using this groomer for almost a year. They did fantastic at first but for the past 6 months things have been going downhill. My dogs have come home with poop on their hair, burrs in their fur, anal glands not expressed and dirty nails. I was actually recommended to take my two dogs here so I did since I just moved back to the area and I have never used a groomer here, I was excited that they had a military discount so I booked my appointment...everything went fine until I got my dogs home my Shepard just got a bath and nail trim so he looked great my cockapoo (who had a body full of curls before he went it) was completely cut apart by the trimmers and was bleeding as well as constantly biting his paws like they were irritated and he was literally crying so I called the shop and all they could suggest was I bring him in for more products to be put on him...I trusted them once with him I wasn't going to do it again I called again because I want to show them the pictures and get a refund on his part and I left a message with some girl and no one ever called me back...I gave it a couple of days hoping for a call so now I have to resort to posting a review... If your dog is cocker or poodle and you need a shorter cut I suggest not bringing them here they will literally butcher your dog....my poor baby needs medicine on him to try to heal the trimmer wounds... I take my pup up there to get his nails trimmed. The staff doesn't seem completely comfortable handling him even though he is a small dog. After they are finish his nails are usually very jagged and very unprofessional look. And yes I know I could pay more to get them filed down but really if you cut them right the first time he wouldn't need them to be filed. After how they handle my dog he is so uncomfortable that I just want to get him out of there. Now I just get his nails done at the vet, I pay more for it but they seem to take better care of him. read more

Took my dog Jessie to the Doggie Day Spa in Cove asked them to wash, dip shave/groom. I was not familiar with the clipping numbers I usually don't take her to get groomed, apparently I was told "I chose that number" so this is what she looks like. However, I clearly explained that I didn't want SKIN showing and I did not want her too look funny or too different. My other concern was my dog was visibly overheated she was panting very hard, I gave her water and she drank a lot and fast. When I spoke with Doggie Day spa of my concerns they were not in the least a bit apologetic for my dissatisfaction or my complaint of her being over heated. I will never take my dog to this groomer and I do not recommend them either. The least they could have done was admit that skin was showing and apologize for it since this was the main concern for me. If they were professional and skilled they should have known that the number I had selected was going to show skin and be a drastic change and they should have advised me to select another number that would have been more to what I was requesting. LOOK AT THE BEORE AND AFTER this doesn't even look like my dog I am not happy and very disappointed!!They told me they would call me when she was ready .they NEVER did I was worry after 3 hrs I call them.They said she been ready.no excuse for not calling. read more

Now let me say first that I'd actually quit going here because they raised their prices which is ridiculous, but my dogs had been going there since they were pups and since my female had just had puppies two weeks prior I decided to go back to them because they would be familiar to her. BIG MISTAKE!!! I get a voicemail from them saying my female was super stressed out and uncomfortable but yet they still groomed her and I'm assuming because my male was hearing her freak out he started freaking out so the lady says it took two groomers and to hold him down. My male is a 6 pound yorkie poo. Are you serious!!! So I can only assume they forcibly held him down and completely shaved him. These people do not care about your fur babies. All they care about is the money. Oh and by the way I paid $110 for two shitty ass hair cuts. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

Dog came back with fleas (he is treated with flea and tick frontline). They didn't bath him the day of pickup as advertised. Credit card machine was broken also so I had to go to a bank and get cash. I took my fur baby to Doggie Day Spa for 3 years and always had a bad gut feeling when I dropped him off. In April an hour after I dropped my baby off I received a call that I would have to come pick him up because there was a situation. On the phone, I was told that they put a muzzle on him and his tongue was outside the muzzle and the groomer accidentally cut my dogs tongue. I flew down to the shop and then was informed of another story which was that when the groomer was removing the muzzle my dog bit the clippers? I didn't want to cause my baby any more stress by taking him to the Vet who would have to look at his mouth and was advised to see if I could get the bleeding to stop. He bled a slow steady stream of blood for about 3 hours. After the bleeding stopped I was able to see that the whole side of is tongue is gone! He kept licking his front leg and paws. The next day he wouldn't put his front leg down and hopped around. I'm sure they did something else to him besides butcher up his tongue! I now have a groomer who comes to my home where I will never be put in a situation like this again. I've been told by my new groomer she feels he has been mistreated by groomers because some of his actions when she touches his legs or paws. I would beware of the establishment! My baby is 10 years old and only 12 pounds. read more

The other grooming salon kept my dogs for over 5 hours and when I called they told me they forgot about my dogs. I started taking my little Boston Terrier, Duchie, here a bit more than a year ago. I had left another groomer that I felt was a bit cruel to my very old Min-Pin who had passed away later from cancer. Anyway, each week when I pull up in front of the building, Duchie goes crazy trying to get out of the car to get inside! She does go a little nuts trying to get the cats but she thinks it's a game and the cats smack her and she backs off! The ladies take her right on back, she is always well taken care of, they call me promptly when she is finished. They have been great about making accommodations for her if I need doggie day care for a few hours. If I have questions about her skin care I know they will help. And when we just adopted our new little Pugahuahua " Jake the Dog" from the shelter, it was just as easy to get him into the routine of grooming. He was VERY scared but sweet and wants so much to please! I have booked a standard weekly appointment so I know that they will always be taken care of by the best! read more

If I could give no stars, I would. In order to board our 10 year old pit- we would have to pay extra due to her breed and she wouldn't be allowed to play with the other dogs. They stated it was only because of her breed and for the protection of the other dogs. I have never heard of any animal facility discriminating and being so close minded. I made an appt to board my dogs here. They were nice on the phone and told me what the price would be to board them there. I talked to them numerous times before I dropped my dogs off. I needed to make sure that they could accommodate my bulldog. That she cannot be outside long due to the heat can kill her. The lady on the phone was nice and assured me that she will be taken care of per my instructions. I went to drop them off on Friday morning and they had no info on my dogs being boarded there. Then they tell me that they cannot take the dogs due to they had their bordetella shots yesterday. I had mentioned on the phone that they were getting the shots the day before they were to get boarded. NO ONE said that they had to get the shots days prior. They then asked me if I paid a deposit when I made the appointment. I told them I did not, no one asked for a deposit. Then she gave me attitude and said in a rude voice, that I was supposed to pay a deposit. I told her that I never was told that I have a deposit and didn't have to pay one. She acted very rudely because someone there messed up and that was somehow my fault. They then got very rude with me and gave me major attitude. I left with my dogs and bring them back home. They left me in a very bad position. We were leaving out of town and my tickets were non-refundable. I will never try to put my dogs there for anything. They were very unprofessional, unprepared and rude. I will not even recommened thim to anyone. If anything I will try to get them to go somewhere else. read more

Well when I took my large dog there and asked that when they bath him that they do not spray the dog cologne. 4-5 days later when we picked him up he still had a bad odor and they informed me they had sprayed the cologne on him. When you pay 25-40.00 to bath a dog, you expected that they are emersed in water, not sprayed with dog cologne. I am sick of all of these folks, unprofessional, half hearted, hiring a bunch of kids who don't want to do the work, just get a pay check. The moment you say something or inquire, now you are the villian or the hard customer. I just want what I paid for. They offer military discounts on certain days I believe and for my 40 lb dobie he was $20 + tax.
