I cannot recommend Dog Gone Detectives enough! They helped us reunite with our baby. I reached out to Dog Gone Detectives after our Great Pyrenees, Bentley, went missing from my brother's back yard. He lives on 4 acres that is heavily wooded with copper heads, coyotes - you name it. He went missing on July 5th around 8pm. We searched all night and then again the next day, walking around 10 miles through the woods, connecting trails, swamp lands, and covered many areas in our cars searching as well. We were calling out to him and using a squeaker toy and food to lure him in. I contacted Kat in the afternoon on July 6th and she began the process for me. She set us up with Courtney and her scent dog, Blizzard. They arrived right at 6:30am on July 7th. We gave Blizzard a blanket of Bentley's, she took the scent, and then was told to hunt. Courtney told us that calling out to the lost pet can sometimes push them further away since they are scared so we walked through the woods, letting Blizzard lead the way. Blizzard took us into the woods through all the heavy brush and down a small hill towards a pond. While Blizzard was sniffing around the grass just before the pond, Bentley appeared behind the pond WITHIN 20 MINUTES of searching. We immediately started yelling for him, crying in happiness that he was alive, and starting going towards him. Courtney immediately stopped us, told us to sit down on the ground, be as calm as we can, and not to call out to him. At first this didn't make sense since he's so used to us, however, it was exactly what he needed. After being in the woods for over 36 hours, my super friendly and outgoing Bentley was confused, timid, and very scared. He started walking towards us but would stop repeatedly since he was unsure of what we were trying to do. He then got within about 50ft of where we were sitting when he recognized us and ran to us. It was a miracle. It was the best day of our lives and it was all thanks to the help of Dog Gone Detectives. Courtney and Blizzard are so professional and hard working. Do not let some bad reviews taint your thoughts on this. Everyone is so emotional in this time - rightfully so since it is one of the worst days of their lives. However, we would regret it for the rest of our lives if we didn't hire Dog Gone Detectives to find our baby. PLEASE - if you take any advice from this review at all, DO NOT CALL OUT TO THEM FRANTICALLY OR CHASE THEM. Even if you think you know your dog best, they are terrified and even the sight of you (their beloved owner) can look strange and seem scary when they've been away from their home for too long. They are scared too and who knows what they've been through while missing. Dog Gone Detectives knows what they are doing and they are the real deal. I hope you never lose a pet, however, if you do, call them immediately!

This was Bliss leading us on the search!! Such an amazing dog!!!

Prompt service, came on short notice, succeeded in finding evidence (hair), and overall did a great job.

I had read great things online and came in genuinely hopeful. That quickly changed. When I arrived with my dog, Buddy, and asked for a tour, the receptionist initially told me I couldn't bring him inside because they didn't have his vaccination records. I explained that I had already created a profile and uploaded everything. She paused, said "Oh," and then changed the reason--now stating I couldn't bring him in because it might "wind up the other dogs." At that point, I didn't argue and put him back in the car with the A/C running, but it was disappointing. A tour should absolutely include seeing how your dog reacts to the environment. Inside, the facility felt dark and quiet, with most of the lights off. Aside from the receptionist, I only saw a cleaning staff member. The tour itself was underwhelming at best. There was no effort to engage--no questions about my dog, no interest in my needs, no explanation of their services or daily routines. It felt more like an obligation than a business that wanted my trust. She showed me the "Ultra Suite," which includes a queen bed, webcam, and TV. Unfortunately, the room looked unkempt--the bed was unmade, the blanket was messy, and it appeared it hadn't been cleaned since the last dog. For $155/night, that's unacceptable. She did apologize, but it didn't inspire confidence. Next was the "Deluxe Suite," which was significantly smaller with a basic dog mattress on the floor. It felt more like a kennel than a "suite." There was only one dog there during my visit, yet the odor in the facility was overwhelming. I couldn't wait to leave. After showing me a few rooms, the tour simply ended--no discussion of availability, no overview of care, no attempt to answer questions or build trust. It was awkward and, frankly, disappointing. I'm very glad I chose to visit in person instead of booking based on the website alone. There is no scenario where I would feel comfortable leaving my dog here.

Every experience has been stellar, and she always comes home happy and with a perfect hairstyle. She gets a super short cut, and not once has there ever been a nick, abrasion, illness, or grooming mistake. I also had a doberman that attended daycare regularly, and he would run inside so fast he would practically knock the door down and run them over to get to the play yards! I love the consistency in the friendly staff (no high turnover and the manager has been there since it opened over 10 yrs ago) and how they always know who Madeline is. There is also incredible communication with the clients, and the facility is always spotless and smells nice and clean (which is not an easy feat with a bunch of doggie butts running around!) I highly recommend The Pooch Patio for all your puppy needs!

He always looked horrible for the first couple weeks until it grew back in and got curly and cute again. So once in Dallas, we found pooch patio. They gave him the best haircut he's ever had. They made him so soft and fluffy. They left his hair with a good length still. He's cute immediately after haircut now. Best groomer weve ever used. The other amazing thing is they open at 6am and are open until 8pm. I have to get to work quite early and I can still drop him off before work and pick him up, even after a late day.

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive to my puppy, who thoroughly enjoys her time with the staff and the other dogs! They even celebrate birthdays! I really appreciate that they have the dogs on a regimented schedule instead of confined to one playroom room all day. The dogs have personal time, indoor play, and outdoor play time (each with similar sized dogs). For personal time, each dog has a roomy open-air suite with food/water bowls, a bed, and toys (if you opt to pack them in their daycare bag). For flat-faced breeds like mine, they provide slanted bowls. Although there aren't livestream cameras, the team posts photo dumps to the Facebook group every afternoon (see examples)! Also worth noting, the team is quick to flag any upcoming vaccination needs or behavior changes. They keep a very close eye on the dogs. Lastly, the hours they offer are unmatched. Drop-off opens at 7:30am and pick-up closes at 7:45pm. In summary - The attention to detail that the staff has is exemplary, and their patience and love for dogs fosters a tail-wag inducing environment!

Instead of calling the owner, staff chose to reach out to my veterinarian and wait on a response from them while my dog sat alone, isolated in an unfamiliar environment. I only found out because, something in my gut didn't feel right. So, I called to get access to the webcams, an hour and a half after dropping him off and when I checked I didn't see him. Immediately, I called back to find out where he was and I was advised that he was isolated in a room, in an unfamiliar place, I immediately got in my car and headed to picked him up. When I arrived and demanded they bring my dog to me, he was visibly scared and confused, and the front desk staff seemed unaware of what was going on or the reason for my frustration!! This lack of communication and care is unacceptable. If vaccinations were an issue, my dog should never have been approved or accepted that morning. I would not trust this facility with my pet again.

These practices are often where you'll be referred to by your primary veterinary when you need a specialized exam or a second opinion on serious medical conditions for your pet. The building has ample parking, several grassy spaces for your pet to relieve themselves, as well as a porte-cochere to make drop off and pick up much easier. The building's elevator might be a bit of a challenge if you have a very large breed dog or are using a large carrier since it is rather small. All flooring inside is linoleum so pets with difficulty walking might need special consideration. There are no "accident" supplies in the hallways or elevator so either bring your own or raid the restrooms - individual office staff likely has cleaning supplies if pressed.
