The boarder's service was fine, but our Mini Schnauzer Annie would come home anxious and exhausted from the stress of the noisy, unfamiliar, chaotic environment. Then we found Home Buddies, and Annie has never been back to the boarder since. The service provided by the Home Buddies staff is so caring and professional. They set up an initial meeting at our house to get to know Annie and us, to see what her normal daily routines and our expectations were, and to talk about what a normal visit could look like. They offer several options, and we chose once-a-day 30-minute visits where they would refresh Annie's food and water as well as play together or go for a walk. We gave them a house key and a code for our home's security system - which, honestly, takes a good bit of faith to do upon a first meeting. But I would do it again in a heartbeat, as our faith in Home Buddies has only gotten stronger. They have proven to be an excellent and reliable source of care for Annie on numerous occasions. Short trips, long trips, holiday weekends, vacation weeks - Terri and the staff at Home Buddies are there any time we need to leave our friend at home without us. So, I wanted to find a service that I trusted to take care of my dogs while at home. Terri and Chelsea are awesome! They will give you pictures and updates on how your pets are doing, which is always helpful if you are anxious about leaving your pets behind. When we come home from our trips, the dogs are happy and the next day they're waiting by the door for Home Buddies to come back. About a year ago, my dog tore her ACL (I believe it's called a CCL in dogs). We were referred to the Glendale location for surgery. While preparing for the procedure, they mentioned she was coming up on her rabies vaccine. She had always been on the 3-year rabies schedule and was around 8 years old at the time. They offered to administer the vaccine during surgery, and given that my focus was on getting her through the operation, I agreed without hesitation. Fast forward to now, I received an email stating her rabies vaccine was due. That didn't make sense since she has consistently been on the 3-year vaccine. When I stopped by to pick up Zoee's medication, the front desk staff acknowledged it appeared to be the same dosage and said they would message the vet to see if the record could simply be corrected to reflect the 3-year vaccine. Less than an hour later, a vet tech called and told me Zoee would need to come in for another rabies shot regardless. I explained the situation, but was told it didn't matter. After going back and forth, I said I would bring her in, but I did not feel I should have to pay an exam fee for what appears to be a documentation error on their end. I even asked for a veterinarian to call me directly to discuss it, but no one ever did. It's disappointing after being a customer for over a decade to feel like concerns are dismissed and that the focus is more on fees than accountability or communication. Based on my recent experiences, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options before bringing their pets here.

Then we used her for a week vacation and we had a security camera in the kitchen. I had asked to never let pups go more than 6 hrs at most without going out. At 10 hours when she hadn't been there I texted and she said she had been there 3 hrs before. We confronted her and she admitted she lied. We said we are watching closely so if it will be more than 6 hours let us know. Throughout the week she was late several times because truck broke down, raining too hard to drive, couldn't get a friend to drive her, and then she acquired a car and It too broke down. I could of been understanding about all this but seeing in video she didn't pet or talk to our animals was so upsetting. We have two small lap dogs that she we never saw her pet she just pushed them away and said calm down, same for cats. It broke my heart. I only write this so other pet parents don't go through the same ordeal.
