I created a Yelp account especially to write a review for this company because I just had a really great experience with them. I ordered some booklets for a writing workshop I was giving and the price, turnaround time, shipping and print quality were all exceptional. I did a ton of research before choosing DocuCopies and their quote was by far and away the lowest. I obtained my quote by using the quote software on their website, which turned out to be accurate (no nasty surprises with the final cost). I loved the convenience of being able to do this at 11 o'clock at night in my pajamas, rather than wait for an email quote as with some of the other companies I checked out. Another thing I loved about the online experience was the ease of submitting my order. I had three PDFs that I had previously used to get the booklet printed at a bricks-and-mortar store (very unfulfilling experience) so I just wanted to be able to submit my PDFs. With some of the other printing sites, you have to be a rocket scientist to understand their specifications. With DocuCopies I just uploaded the PDFs for my color covers and the interior of the workbook and that part was done. The research took much longer than the ordering part. By the next morning my booklet had been entered into the printing process. I had given them a deadline (the booklet was for a scheduled event) and DocuCopies bested the deadline by one day. The shipping process was painless. Tracking was provided and the box arrived exactly when it was supposed to according to UPS. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with were the transparent covers that I had requested for the front and back. They were streaked, making the booklets look somewhat used. But the print quality was fantastic and the color covers and interior look crisp and professional. I am so relieved to have found a company I can stick with for my next booklet orders. read more

Docucopies is the only printer I will ever use in the future. I had them print 6 books on my family history that I had written to give my siblings for Christmas. I was very nervous about the whole affair wanting to present such important information to them in a professional format. Docucopies was a life saver. In their pre print section they give you very detailed instructions that if you follow you will get a quality project every time. the site is very easy to navigate and to get your files uploaded. They request they be PDF files which again was easy. There are many free conversion programs on the web and it allows you to see the file exactly as they see it. This was helpful as I could determine which photos etc had to be flattened to assure a good quality print. As for the quality docucopies did a superlative job. I got the books in the perfect binding format and the the binding is tight and straight. They also give you so many options when setting up your job as far as the type of paper and type of outside cover with helpful links along the way to assure that you are getting what you want. I'm hooked and will use them again on my next two projects for next year, a reprint for the nieces and nephews and another book for my wifes side of the family. read more

During my career as a management consultant, I printed a hundred or more report style documents using many different print methodologies. Retired now, I needed to print 100 copies of a spiral-bound book I compiled about Vietnam casualties from my home county. I decided to use Docucopies as my first attempt with on-line, two-sided, bound documents. I can honestly say that it was the best print job I have ever ordered and the cost was about 25% of the Kinkos quote. You don't just upload a file and hope for the best either. A very friendly service rep called me to review the order and ask for special instructions. Within hours of initially uploading the file I was emailed a PDF proof of the layour they were going to print from. After that, they took one day to print, bind and package the order and then 3 days for free UPS delivery. Everything went exactly as promised. My first experience with Docucopies was quite the disappointment. The quality was poor and they didn't respond to my email complaint. However, I sat on my project and it bothered me enough that I decided to call. What I got really changed my opinion! The rep on the phone listened to my problem and told me he'd go check things out and give me a call back, which he did in about 10 minutes! He agreed the quality was bad and assured me they would re-run the job at no cost. When asked when I needed the job I answered that the next day would be nice but I understood if they couldn't make it, BUT THEY DID!!! The job got re-run and shipped that same day and I received it the next day (I live in the same town as DC). Just checked the job and all was just as it should be. I have to give credit to DC for not only correcting a bad job but for doing it extremely fast when I really needed it! I live in Annapolis Maryland and have used Docucopies three times and will continue to use them. The first time, I was speaking at a conference in Chicago and needed handouts printed and delivered to hotel and was very short on time. I called them to be sure in advance that they could make the deadline. The copies were there and beautifully printed. I used them again when I was going to be in Minneapolis for a speaking engagement. Again, they delivered just as expected -- the entire order was correct. So I just used them again to produce a massive manual. The covers look great. The paper is bright white. The copies are crisp. Great job. I love Docucopies because they have the most reasonable prices (and I shopped around), free shipping if the order is over a certain amount, a really easy online ordering process that gives me tons of options. I believe I originally found Docucopies via a Google search, and have used their services a couple times now. I originally selected them for price, but now their excellent service has increased their value for me. Their website is very helpful - you can view various options and quantities and immediately see price differences. On my last print job, I uploaded my pdf, then considered the layout and was concerned its panels might not line up correctly when folded. I called the customer service number, got an immediate response and they knew exactly what I was talking about. My rep said, I will put an immediate hold this order and we will fix the layout for you. It required a modest layout fee, which was fully communicated to me and I agreed to. Within an hour I got an updated proof emailed to me to review and approve. Once I OKed, the order was on its way. I will definitely call on docucopies again in the future. read more

I needed to get 500 spiral bound booklets printed, my boss is very picky and tends to change his mind on things up (and past!) the last minute. I placed the order which required a specific brand of paper, Docucopies was able to special order it. After we got the proof my boss realized there was an error in the file (our fault) so we had to change the source file, no problem! Once I got them the new file my boss decided he wanted part of the order overnighted to us as soon as possible. Easy as pie. We got the advance shipment one day earlier than promised and the whole order shortly after. The printing looked great. Every person I spoke to and emailed with was professional and made every effort to accommodate all the changes and special requests. I was referred to docucopies by an acquaintance who went to the same high school as I did. They had had their reunion annuals printed by them and were happy with the results and price. In 2013, I had my 50th reunion and was in; charge of the reunion annual. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were fast, accommodating, informative, helpful and very reasonably priced. Even when there was a glitch in the final annuals I received, they had the books picked up by UPS at their expense and returned to their store and re-done. Printing and re-printing, shipping and re-shipping only cost my reunion committee approximately $7.25 per book. Amazing!! I needed 2000 copies of a color flyer, and in a short time frame - so the first place I thought of was the local Kinkos. I checked out their prices and nearly fainted. The price was what got me to try them (plus they have a west coast location not from LA) so I could get them quickly as well. This is a family photo calendar, a small order of about forty copies that my mother sends out as Christmas gifts.
