I've been going to this place for a couple of years and unfortunately I have to have breast ultrasound every 6 months. they are so greedy that in order to have the ultrasound they make me do mammogram as well or I cannot have the ultrasound. ultrasound is a better diagnostic imaging procedure than mammogram but they prefer to radiate a woman's breast just to make money from the insurance company. I work in the medical field and know mammogram is not necessary twice a year. I had breast surgery and stated I don't think I can have the mammogram machine squeezing my breast they told me they don't allowed to have only the ultrasound. I was scheduled at 8, walked back to complete my ultrasound by 8:04 and was out the door by 8:35. I have been coming to Dr. Weinshelbaum for many years and was so happy with everything about the place until today. I received a text message to confirm my appointment and because I knew the practice was purchased by Doctors imaging Group I followed the directions in the text which were wrong. Only by a few blocks but why would you deliberately confuse/misdirect us? Staff both at the erroneous location and the correct one confirm that the company is aware. Fix it please. The review is for the horrible smell. I have been going here for several years, and as soon as the door opens to the building a strong odor I can only liken to the smell of molding hay at a dairy farm. Specific, but I grew up on a farm, and that was the first image in my mind. The odor continues into the waiting room, down yhe halls, and your only escape is when you are stuffed in a tiny changing room. Every time, it's the same. Pungent, and unsanitary. read more

I have been in Gainesville for over 20 years and this location is a defacto facility for xrays etc. servicing virtually all of gainesville physicians. However, the facility handicapped parking is clearly violating ADA accessibility building codes. Not sure how the city passed any city review for when on the facility paid for resurfacing of the parking lot. Pick and choose battles but this medical facility somehow skirted the ADA building codes. From the perspective of disabled accessible parking this facility is blatantly in clear violation of Florida building code standards for even the absolute minimum requirements of ADA compliant parking. Its pathetic given its a medical facility for which most patients are using the facility with some form of impairment. See Scoping section of Florida Bulding Code, Chapter 2 section 208.2.1 and details of parking space requirements Chapter 5, section 502. How about complying with ADA law and treating your clientele with a tad bit more respect. The current YELP rating for the hospital of 2.6 out of 5 does not surpise me at all. A disgrace to the medical field and disabled community and an embarassment to the North Florida community. By the way - there is no such thing as "grandfathering" exemption because the building may have been constructed prior to implementation of the ADA back in 1992. read more

first of all, i do not even remember going to any of the locations that are under dr's imaging group, as i live in ocala, not gainesville! i do have a pain doctor that is in, and near this , in gainesville. however, i have never had images taken at either . next thing i know i received a letter, stating that doctors imaging group had been hacked between nov 5 and nov 11, 2024, and that i was among those that had gotten their info taken. it took these people nine months to do an investigation! and another month to start notifying people! in the letter, it states to call a toll-free "dedicated assistance line" for more information!! and yet when you call this "assistance line", they give you absolutely no information!!! i had never heard of this group before, and had no idea who or what imaging facilities were under their name, or who referred to them, etc! instead, you had to put in an "expedited request" directly to dr's imaging group themselves, yet you are not allowed to call them directly! you must go through this assistance line, that gives you absolutely no assistance! it is insane! after quite a bit of searching, i have now come to find out, that this office itsel, is completely unorganized, but actually provides imaging services to 2 hospitals & half the doctors in gainesville!! which means this could turn into a huge class action lawsuit!!! and because i have not received a call back after 10 working days,, and the person on the phone told me that there have been people waiting for weeks to get a reply, this tells me that dig are doing everything they can to avoid the people that got hacked! because they do not want a class action lawsuit!!! so if you received a letter concern concerning this, i would seriously think about contacting an attorney! or at least call 1-866-291-1907! which is their supposed info line. because your letter may have got lost in the mail. read more

Although we've had excellent care and service with most of the Doctors Imaging Group, the X-ray team needs some customer service training. Not only do they not acknowledge you at the front desk and tell you sign in, they let everyone stand in line just waiting. You can't make an appointment for an x-ray, either, so you have to wait in line. They'll also hang up on you if you complain on the phone! read more

I had a mammogram scheduled for today. The appointment has been scheduled for 6 months based off orders they had on file. This office is 75 minutes away from my house but I've been getting care there for 10+ years without any issues in the past. Today 30 minutes PAST my appointment time Doctors Imaging Group staff inform me they don't have the correct order and can't do the mammogram today. My follow up with my specialist is on Monday which I now have to reschedule because the mammogram didn't happen. Had an X-ray and 6 days after x-ray I went to my doctor to get results, They had not even read the x-ray.

Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely disrespectful and disgusting. Over a month ago I gave them all of my mammogram history and information to request medical records and a month later they still never called me to make an appointment and I reached out on Thursday and spoke to Taylor, who took all my information and said she would look into it and never called back. I called today and asked to speak to an office manager and was on hold and hung up on and transferred to the wrong place for an hour. When I finally got, somebody who followed through they gave me to Taylor who said her supervisor was busy and couldn't talk to me. She was snotty and unapologetic about not getting back to me and said that she requested the records and it would take 3 to 4 weeks and I was welcome to go somewhere else if I wasn't comfortable with her service and when I asked to talk to her supervisor, she hung up on me. Their office staff are horrendous and the managerial people are nonexistent. I called my doctors office and left a message that I needed a different mammography place. Taylor specifically needs some retraining or needs to reevaluate her career choices because I have never been spoken to or treated like that at a doctors office. read more

I understand that everyone has the expectation of being the VIP when they enter a place like they are the only patient these people are here to care for, but I wasn't expecting that and thats what I got. I recently requested a copy of my credit report. Expecting a flawless rating in light of 40+ years of never neglecting a credit card payment or bill, I was shocked to learn that Doctors Imaging Group alleged that I had an unpaid bill of $133.00 which they referred to attorneys in Wisconsin for collection. I was never notified by this group, either in writing or verbally, that I owed them money. The Wisconsin flackies never contacted me either. It remains a blemish on my credit report until 2025. This group should be ashamed! My 11 year old son was sent by his doctor today to get a chest X-ray for fear of Pneumonia due to Covid. Was told to call upon arrival since he was COViD positive. They turned him away. Told me he could come back in FIVE days when he wouldn't be considered contagious. When I pressed saying the doctor was concerned that he could have the beginnings of pneumonia they told me I could go to the ER or urgent care if I felt we couldn't wait the five days for them to do it. This is completely ridiculous. Make me wait in my car, mask up and go straight to a room, I will do whatever is needed to protect others, but don't deny us care that you could have easily given. How about your medical facility help out the local ER and urgent cares that are already overwhelmed with critical patients by caring for those who are non critical when you can? Instead they send more people their way when they could have easily helped them. It is just pure laziness on their part. They should reconsider their policies to help their fellow health workers instead of adding more to their plate. I guess they think ER and Urgent Care staff are immune to COViD when they aren't. UGH. I am so torn on these idiots. So I've had an ultrasound and x-ray done here and both times the technicians have been great and I haven't had to wait that long because I had an appointment. However, the office staff and billing department is a wreck. Both times they billed my insurance wrong despite me clarifying it literally (seriously literally) 7x what they needed to do and every person I've encountered at the front desk and when calling billing has been unhelpful. I have had to explain my very common insurance to them. No one likes receiving a bill that should've been covered already. I've also noticed that their wait room seems to be consistently packed with walk-ins so be sure to schedule an appt. read more

This place is ridiculous. I booked 1st appt. of AM so I could get to work, and there were about 30 other people also in the waiting room. I waited an hr. to get my ultrasound, and if I hadn't approached the desk, I might still be there. I only went there because my dr. sent me. This practice is totally COVID unsafe. I went today for my mammogram and one of the patients in the waiting area was not wearing a mask and didn't for a while. The worst was that the technician was not vaccinated and she was literally breathing over me for a few minutes. This is April and vaccines have been available for health care workers since February. The woman claimed the vaccine wasn't available to her in Lake City but that's an outright lie. This practice should be sued for endangering people's lives read more

I've been using DIG for a long time. Like any healthcare provider in Gainesville I've visited, in my experience, waiting is par for the course. I'm used to it. Otherwise the techs I have used were really friendly and deft, and my limited exposure to the docs was good. I'd recommend them if you gotta get some xrays did. read more

2016 will be my 7th mammogram here and every year I am able to count on getting in and out quickly. I have always scheduled my annual gynecologist for the following hour. That doctor's office is down the road and I have always made it on time and with time to grab a coffee in-between. The mammogram itself is what it is but the technicians have always been very professional, GENTLE and efficient. The front desk staff, without having to ask, has always had the results of my morning's mammogram TO MY DOCTOR by time time I get there one hour later! I am always impressed and grateful for the efficiency so I can knock out these two annual appointments in one morning. THANK YOU!!! read more

ultrasound taken of my liver . results were not correctly documented, resulting in an unecessary attempt to revise a hiatal hernia. surgery was aborted after opening me up because dramatically enlarged liver findings were not documented. instead they just wrote ( fatty liver) on the report so i have 5 incisions which were just stapled back up without being able to access the hernia . then i was sent home in ambulance on a gurney in the middle of the nite. all due to the liver scan not being properly documented. but yea. who cares, im fat and old, right . dont go here. they also cant figure out how to bill secondary insurance . a former doctors address was put in their records rather than my secondary insurance billing info. went on my credit report and crashed my score. they couldnt fix it for about a year, due to incompetence in their billing department. yeee haaw we in florida now! read more

I have been there at least 5 times now. The front desk staff is almost never friendly, and sometimes they are outright rude. I always have to wait beyond my appointment time. It feels like a high throughput factory. It is very difficult to get actual information from anyone about what they saw on the images they took. I give it 2 stars rather than 1 star because most of the people who actually do the imaging are kind, friendly and proficient. I do feel it has gotten worse over the last couple of years. read more

NO!!!! DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELF. If you are sick and feeling bad don't add doing business with this place to the list of grief in your life. Their front line staff is great. Once you provide your insurance information if you have a primary and secondary coverage they will bill one but never both. How they pick which I don't know yet I've only been through it twice so far. The only certainty is you get a bill for the balance. If you're like me you know the secondary hasn't paid yet so you put it aside waiting for the process to run it's course. Sadly it doesn't. DIG never sends a second notice they send your account directly to a collection agency. So far I've been able to invest several hours and correct their mistakes but as a consequence I have a late notice on my credit record. This week my doctor tried to give me a script to get x rays at DIG. I told him I'd die before returning to this place. Once he understood I was serious he eventually got the message and found a professional lab for me. DIG's professional service is great. Unfortunately the hassle of undoing the damage to my credit rating isn't worth doing business with them. By the way, not bragging but I have excellent credit. I pay my bills and I pay them on time. Drive farther if you need but don't do this to yourself it's NOT WORTH IT. read more
