The lobby is clean and welcoming, featuring a huge TV (or two) displaying the specials and menu. The quality of their edibles and flowers is top-notch, and the prices are reasonable--definitely on par with dispensaries I've visited on the mainland. I was also happy to see they honor military discounts, which means a lot. Plus, the edibles shaped like the Big Island are such a great touch! Kaeo helped me find exactly what I needed to ease my migraine and pain--he was fantastic! It was his last day, so God bless him on his journey. You can tell the employees here are well taken care of and work together as a strong team. Despite how busy it was when I visited, I was helped quickly, with professionalism and true aloha. Another huge plus is that they accept debit cards, which I'm super grateful for since I rarely carry cash. I'll definitely be coming back. Mahalo nui loa, Big Island Grown!

This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Sam went above and beyond to not only…read moreget to know me but to share local experiences with me while I was visiting. She checked in during my entire trip to see how I was doing. So let's talk about the actual Water Reiki! It was the most beautiful and soul seeking experience. She picked a beautiful ocean front in Hilo. There is always a potential for rain and she communicated that with me ahead of time. We were lucky and it was a gorgeous day. I walked up to a massage bed beautifully laid out with Sam's tools. I got comfortable and we discussed my goals. She had already made a handful of notes based on our earlier discussion and as to not give away all her magic, I will tell you my mind was blown with the gifts I received. We began our first session on land. Once completed, she moved me to a floating pad on the water. We were so lucky to have a Honu (turtle) share the water with us. Once our time there was complete, Sam and I chatted for quite some time and absorbed all the beauty we were in. We moved back to the land spot where she had a nice robe waiting for me to warm up in. We looked up my readings and I felt like she took so much care and extra time I could have spent all day with her. I look forward to making it a priority to have a treatment with Sam when visiting the Island. I recommend checking out their services it will be well worth your time and will absolutely enhance your experience in Hawaii.

Doc Sarah is a FIND. I won't knock traditional medicine -…read morebut I do know, in my experience, it can be limited to medicating the symptoms without really examining the causes, and can feel like a patchwork of specialty folks who don't always see the whole picture. At Hilo Natural, I've found a practitioner with both a breadth and depth of experience in treating the whole human. Doc Sarah combines comprehensive lab work, lifestyle factors, supplements, and has been able to help me make progress with some thyroid and lab issues (and also more physio-related issues foot and shoulder pain) with a combination of nutrient support, medication, and interventions like prolon therapy (really helpful for chronic plantar fasciitis.) Also, she's really, really dang smart - and a compassionate guide thru what has been a difficult entry into my 40s. The office is run as a tight ship - which I realize is unusual for an area in which 'business hours' are often a loose approximation and the general standard of responsiveness and timeliness is WELL below average. Basically, you get San Francisco Bay Area level care, follow-up, and appointment management here - so if you are prone to the generally lackadaisical island approach to things, this may not be a fit. For those accustomed to a 'laid back approach' (read: not respectful of time and about a decade behind in innovation) - this place will come as a bit of a jolt. As someone who values innovation, results, responsiveness- and respects my own time and that of other people - this clinic is perfect as both my go-to for integrative treatment and as my PC doc. These folks won't keep you waiting or offer anything but the latest in education, utmost in professionalism and of-the-moment treatment- so return the favor and be on time, do your homework, and get results.

She said the company stopped making the B12 with 5L, so now the only way to get them was biying them separate, which was double the cost. After calling the company ( seeking health) and been told they have never stopped making these 2 supplements in one formula, and that was actually their best seller, I called her office to return the supplements and get my money back. Her secretary hanged up on me when I said she lied to me, and Dr Strong kicked me out of the office by email in response of my request for a refund. Ah, and when I asked the secretary what the 5L part of the supplement was, she rudely answered "Im not a doctor " What kind of customer service is this??

It also said most of their customers have their staff come to their house or office for the healthy IV infusion/IM injection services - as they specialize in mobile services! Oops, I was just visiting friends and supporting their fundraiser, so I had no home or office to use! And, I didn't know anything about the company, I think they were brand new at the time. I called to explain, and the owners kindly extended my expiry date! Plus, I discovered they have a nice quiet clinic attached to a residence to serve "visitors", from cruise ship guests to people like me, who might only be over for the day! This December, I finally flew back to visit friends and booked my hour visit before my flight home. Tip: Do read their IV Therapy Menu for the ingredients, uses, prices, and service times. Such a wide variety of options to improve your health! Infusions for hydration, travel fatigue, hangover/food poisoning recovery, mental focus, muscle recovery and performance, anti-aging, immunity, and other health concerns. Some infusions are recommended for repeat services for full effect, and they offer some IV push medication add-ons. They also have IM vitamin booster injections if you're in a rush - Mahalo to owner Ashley L. for the complimentary Vitamin B12 add-on! (I ended up choosing a service that was for more than my gift certificate, and it was really easy to pay for the difference and to add on a nice tip;). The location was a little tricky for us, only because our GPS app kept thinking we'd passed it. Lol! It was a nice surprise to walk to the first floor of a second story house, through the garage. A nicely appointed, well-ventilated, clinic awaited, with two infusion chairs, and a nice and clean restroom! My infusion nurse was the father of one of the owners (a husband and wife team), and an ER hospital nurse by trade. I felt well cared for, and one way to confirm that is upon bandage removal on my flight home;), photo attached. He explained he normally has to drive to client's homes or offices, (and I love the side note- his wife - and mom of one of the owners - suggested staff be on contract, including gas/mileage coverage, even if he is their dad)! Such a smart woman (by the way- the whole family and staff are in healthcare as well)! While I'm not sure only one hour of service would cause a dramatic effect, I have several friends who swear by these infusion services. In this day and age, with all the toxins we are surrounded by and ingesting/inhaling, I do believe these vitamins and boosters have a positive effect on our bodies. We just need to make time to invest in ourselves. Yes, you too, deserve this break and time for self-care. If you are planning to be anywhere on the Big Island of Hawai'i, check it out! You must book in advance - their calendar and available times are clearly detailed - and their on-line form is super easy to fill out. Send a message, and you'll get a reply. Choose on-site or mobile services. Oh, and they are super close to the Hilo airport, so it's convenient as well! I also got a sweet note (as a post visit check in), from Ashley, co-owner and service provider. I'm so glad to hear their business is flourishing, and hope you have a chance to visit them someday!

April Kua is an exceptional psychiatric nurse practitioner whose clinical expertise and…read morecompassionate care have been genuinely life-changing. After more than a decade of being dismissed and disregarded by multiple providers, I finally found someone who took my concerns seriously and provided the comprehensive, thoughtful treatment I desperately needed. What sets April apart is her remarkable depth of knowledge combined with genuine thoroughness in her approach. She didn't rush through our appointments or offer superficial solutions. Instead, she took the time to truly understand my situation, asked insightful questions, and demonstrated a level of clinical competence that had been sorely missing from my previous experiences with mental health care. The ease of scheduling was refreshing, no months-long waitlists or bureaucratic obstacles that so often plague psychiatric care. April made herself accessible when I was in crisis, which speaks volumes about her commitment to her patients. Her compassion and consideration are evident in every interaction. She treated me with dignity and respect, validating my experiences rather than minimizing them. This may sound like a basic expectation, but after years of being dismissed, it was profoundly healing to finally be heard and believed. The follow-up care has been impeccable. April doesn't just prescribe and disappear; she maintains consistent communication and adjusts treatment as needed, demonstrating genuine investment in my wellbeing and progress. For anyone who has struggled to find competent, compassionate psychiatric care especially if you've been dismissed by other providers; I cannot recommend April Kua highly enough. She has restored my faith that excellent mental health care is possible, and I am deeply grateful for her service.

I honestly can't say enough good things about April Kua. She changed my life…read more I first started seeing her when she was with Psychiatrists and Associates, and I followed her to her own private practice because I trusted her that much -- and I still do. When I first came to her, I thought I already knew what I needed. I've had ADHD since I was 5 and was originally treated with Ritalin. I stopped treatment as a teenager, convinced I didn't need meds anymore. Years later, in my 30s, I went through a really rough time with anxiety and depression and tried a bunch of SSRIs with awful side effects. Nothing helped. Eventually, a doctor suggested my anxiety and depression might actually be symptoms of untreated ADHD, and he started me on ADHD meds. He was right -- the moment my ADHD was treated, my anxiety and depression basically disappeared. I stayed on that treatment for a few years and then stopped. Fast forward five years -- symptoms were creeping back in, and that's when I found April. I gave her the full backstory, confident I already knew what worked for me. But she didn't just take my word for it -- she really listened to both what I said and what I didn't realize I was saying through my symptoms. Based on my responses and behavior, she suggested starting with something to treat depression. I was hesitant -- I reminded her that SSRIs had never worked for me. She explained that Wellbutrin wasn't an SSRI and asked if I'd be open to trying it. Within a week, I felt different. Not just better -- but clearer. For the first time, I realized I might have actually been depressed my whole life without knowing it. I just thought that was how life felt for everyone. After a few months, we started ADHD treatment again. I'd always done well on Vyvanse, but April suggested we try Concerta. The combo of Wellbutrin and Concerta has been a complete game-changer. I feel more like myself than I ever have before. April didn't just stick to a checklist or hand me what I thought I wanted -- she brought her own insight, experience, and care into the room and gently helped me find something that worked even better than what I thought I needed. I came in thinking I knew everything. She showed me what healing could really look like. And I am so, so thankful for her.
