Ollie waiting for the doctor
Carla M.

I have a small dog who is terrified of the vet. We moved to Carson from SLT and Doc's was recommended by my boyfriend. I am SO glad we picked this place. The doctor was INCREDIBLY patient with my dog. To the point where my dog, who is normally aggressive at the vet, allowed him to check his teeth and pet him. Normally my dog cries out in pain for his shots and rectal temperature check but my dog was quiet the whole time. Exam room and waiting room were both very clean. Highly recommend this establishment. I'm looking forward to any future visits now!

This is an exceptionally good Veterinary Hospital run by a husband/wife team of veterinarians, Dr. Habeler and Dr. Chaney-Habeler. I have taken my dog there for over 8 years. They have always provided excellent pet care, usually at scheduled appointments, and several times during minor emergencies. Several safe and successful minor surgeries were performed on my pet. They have always been attentive and caring. During COVID 19, they set up their exam rooms with protective screening so the pet owner had the option of coming in with their pet and see the vet face to face while most other animal care offices demanded that only the pet enter and the owners were forced to remain outside. These vets always have taken time to listen attentively to my concerns and to fully explain any tests and procedures needed to form a diagnosis and possible treatment options. After any appointment concerning a serious issue, someone has always called the next day to check on the dog's current condition and response to treatment. All the Veterinary Technicians at this hospital have always been very educated, professional, and courteous. I've always felt comfortable trusting them to work with my little dog, and he's always been treated safely. The clerical staff has always been courteous, professional, interested, and efficient. The hospital is always clean and well appointed. Having been to many veterinarians with many pets over the years, I feel a higher level of interest in my dog's situation by everyone in this hospital. They don't see my little dog as just one more patient to get out of the way--they really demonstrate sincere interest and desire to help. I recommend them to pet owners wanting exceptional care at a fair price.

Poor, itchy Marchesa.

They got my little/old Shih Tzu in really fast to get a Cytopoint allergy injection. I really appreciate how much they care!!

My little girl a year after adoption finally letting Dr. Haebler carry her to the back without a fight

Our tiny Princess Leia ("The Iron Lady") made a terrible life choice involving razor blade pieces,…read moreand this incredible vet team saved her life. After losing our previous tiny Yorkie during a routine dental procedure, we were absolutely terrified -- but from the first moment, the doctors and staff treated Leia like family. The level of skill, compassion, communication, and care we received was extraordinary. A huge thank you to Cameron Ross and Nick Mannan for their incredible work, kindness, and dedication during one of the scariest moments of our lives. Today Leia is back to doing zoomies, giving kisses, and running the household like nothing ever happened. We will never forget what this team did for our family.

Well I noticed she had a little unpleasant discharge. Knowing this is not normal, we called around and found this office has Urgent Care appts for non-life-threatening situations. I was already pretty sure what she had but also knew she needed antibiotics to get rid of it. I was able to catch a clean urine sample right before we left to rule out any UTI. Now our Sushi girl was ready to go and a 2 town away drive. Once upon arriving, this place is huge! Really clean once and very nice inside. Very nice Employees to help along the way. Once checked in, we were taken back and talked with a very sweet Vet Tech. Now the Veterinarian comes in, Dr Dalton Pils and plops right down on the floor. Sushi is loving all over him while he gets a good assessment on her. They take her back and run a few tests which were included in the original ER charge. Results came back as to what I had originally thought it was. Antibiotics and steroids for 10 days. They gave her chewables, and not again lol. I had to hide chewables in cheese lol. I have a picky pup lol. I highly recommend Dr Pils if you have to go to Urgent Care and can pick your Vet. He really reminds me of the Vet we left when we moved here from SETX.

They have moved and shuffled their entire days around to get my animals' needs met. Even our python, Jimmy, was rehabilitated here with so much care. Every time I go there, miss Laurie knows me and my animals and smiles when she sees us. Minus the snake, but that's fair. The vet techs accept him ;) They're just a great group of people that really want to rise above and do the right thing for people and their animals. Especially the front desk staff, Dr Kidder, and Dr B. I think you guys are all awesome.

After spending $6,000, every single follow-up was only with technicians--never the vet. I was charged for four separate sets of x-rays, yet not once did anyone go over the results with me. At the final visit, they tried to charge me an additional $538 for an x-ray I had already paid for. On top of that, they kept my dog there for over 9.5 hours for what should have been a simple follow-up x-ray. When I called to check in, I was told they don't call owners until pets are ready to go home. I asked why it was taking so long, and they said emergencies pushed my dog back. If that was the case, why not reschedule instead of keeping her locked up for nearly 10 hours? This clinic clearly cares more about money than the well-being of the animals. I will never recommend Sierra Vet to anyone. HORRIBLE place, with absolutely no compassion for pets or their owners.

I was definitely that client -- asking all the questions, thinking of every worst-case scenario, and quietly panicking about losing my baby. Dr. Fisk was beyond amazing. He met every single one of my anxious questions with patience, kindness, and the calm reassurance I so desperately needed. He never made me feel silly for worrying -- just supported. When I came to pick my boy up, I was greeted by the sweetest front desk staff who immediately reassured me that he did great and was in the back resting. They told me he was such a good, loving boy -- and as a pet mom, that melted my heart. Dr. Fisk explained everything thoroughly -- how the surgery went, recovery steps, what to watch for -- and again answered every question with such gentleness. Anytime I've called with questions (because, yes, I'm still that mom), the staff was responsive and so kind. I truly can't recommend Skyline Pet Hospital enough.
