Their standard menu does not feature their vegan options, so we had to wait for the waitress to come back around again to ask for this. Unfortunately, the Vegan Chicken Breast was crossed off, so I'm not sure if that will be coming back. I went with the Vegan Reuben, a reliable standard, but it was terribly disappointing. It prompted me to pull up my photos from our previous dining experience there, and the sandwich looks so much more unappetizing. The current sandwich is wet, pale, and oddly sweet. The color and texture are so different, so I'm not sure what they've changed from their original recipe.

Luckily it also has its own parking lot and finding parking was easy. The menus you can order from both restaurants and have similarities, which is interesting such as the calamari, which is the appetizer we ordered. Interestingly, enough, the calamari is priced differently on both menus depending on which one you look at with a difference of three dollars. Overall, the food portions were very good. They also have some specials. The menu is very straightforward and luckily for us carnivores had a lot of choices. Service was very friendly and kind and the food came out very quickly. The bread service is a little bit off. They probably could actually serve you the olive oil with the cheese and the pepper so that you could actually dip it more for your bread. I do wish the calamari came with legs not just rings. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were delicious as well. The barbecue special that my friend ordered did not disappoint. We both absolutely cleaned up our plates and did not have room for dessert. This is definitely spot if you're in the area to check out great fun ambience. It wasn't too packed or busy and the food is very straightforward and tasty.

I likewise don't believe that the quality of the food was up to the cost of it. Plus my wife was somewhat disappointed with the menu options. And I didn't see a kids meal menu, but I assume that they have one if children are part of your group. Anyway, the service was very good. The ambiance was equally good. We were seated in an area that despite being a little crowded, we were still able to carry on a conversation ( I usually have to adjust my hearing aids to silence background noise but not here).

On my second visit a year later, I decided to give it another shot--this time opting for the traditional version instead of the smoked one. It was better, but still only average at best. It was also served warm, and the ice melted quickly, suggesting the glass or drink wasn't properly chilled. The martini was also underwhelming--it tasted mostly like juice, with little to no noticeable alcohol. As for the food, the starters were definitely the highlight. The French onion soup was actually very good. However, the main courses didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well--overcooked and under-seasoned. The chicken Vesuvio was also disappointing; the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, and neither it nor the rice stood out in any meaningful way. On a positive note, the ambiance was very nice. The lighting created a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, while the setting and service were enjoyable, the food and drinks didn't justify a return visit.
