I came in a few weeks ago to pick out a pair of shoes for all the walking I've been doing since we moved to a neighborhood with trails. It was early, and the employees outnumbered customers two to one, which was a nice change from every other shopping experience I've had lately. The young man who helped me was wonderful and I regret I did not remember his name for my review. I got on the treadmill to see my gait, and then we tried on some shoes. I ended up getting a pair of asics, and I really like them. But probably the most important part of the transaction was learning something that will likely help us for years to come. My son, age four, has one foot that is a full size bigger than his other foot, making it hard to shop for shoes. I found out that RC has a program to help with this. You can get shoes in two different sizes, and they just charge you for one pair, plus 25% of the cost of the second pair. They're able to recoup the rest of the money thanks to a partnership with the manufacturers. I don't think this applies to every brand they carry, but maybe 2-3 different lines. Having fully expected to pay 100% of the price of the second pair of shoes for him, this is a very nice surprise, and I wanted to make sure that more people knew this was possible.

I had been buying my running shoes here for a while and decided to order a pair this time for color…read moreand ordered my wife a pair as well. An issue arose where I thought the size might be wrong so I went in to discuss it and there was an attitude of displeasure when I asked that it be changed. So instead of pressing I tried a pair on in the color they had to see if I was right and I was not. No change was necessary so I just said never mind on making the change to the order. At that point the lady who was actually friendly and helpful said she was already in the process but that she would back out and correct it back. None of this was an issue really. That came later. At the original date of order I was told 7-10 business days to arrive. Not realizing that it reset the day when I went in for the size change I was told in a rather demeaning way by a manager that I didn't request to come out but was brought out by the girl trying to figure where this order was and couldn't. She was adamant that it hadn't been 10 business days and that they would call me when they came in. I let her attitude slide since she didn't know the situation. Two days later I went in to get some features socks and while checking out I asked the associate helping me if there was an update one the order. My mistake obviously. This was a different associate than before so she has the same issue and without asking goes and gets a manager to help. Well it's the same one as two days before and she immediately pulls up the order and give me the date she sees go my order turns the screen around o show me when I placed the order and say "Look" points at the date and then proceeds to tell me the date that would be 10 business days which would have been the following day. Now I'm offended so I explain to her that that date was actually 3days behind when I ordered and I had come in to change sizes and it reset the day but I wouldn't have thought that would have any bearing on my wife's shoes but I said no worries I will take care of. So I went home and got my receipts for the order showing the original date and brought it back up there to show her that I wasn't pressing or pestering and I was only sling because I was in the store. She looked at me and literally walked over to the computer, pulled up the same screen turned it back around and said all she can see in the system is the date it shows for the order now. I wasn't even upset originally I was just trying to show that I wasn't trying to be a jerk and keep hounding them. AND beside all of this on that day would have been 10 business days for the reorder which then I was getting angry so I made it clear that her point was irrelevant since they should now be there. SMH. At this point we are 14 business days and 17 days from the original purchase date. Up to this point I was accepting some responsibility for going in and asking to change sizes. Now we are past that. At that point I was done with the manager or day shift leader or whatever she was so I said yeah just call when they get in and then I'd be done with them. Again knowing they should have been in that day. No call the rest of the day so I knew the next day would be 11 business days. So next day rolls around and I just went in and got a refund. Took the receipt in dealt with a pleasant manager and that why they get a 2 star and not a 1. To be honest though this wasn't the first time I felt like there was some obvious demeaning attitude displayed. Big River then got both shoe purchases as well as an extra pair which were all in stock and all colors available and will get all my future business. Still SMH. If you don't like your job or are bad with people go work in a different industry.

I had visited a popular shoe store in Classen Circle but…read morethey were low on my size. Also the staff was waiting on more than one person and couldn't really give the service expected. I ended up at Tradehome Shoes in Penn Square Mall. The energy when I walked in felt welcoming and the staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They listened to what issues I had with my feet and right away had suggestions for the shoes that would fit me correctly. It was also a one on one experience from their sales staff. I appreciated that. I could tell they had been well trained in shoe sales. I was extremely satisfied with the service and I am pleased with the shoes I ended up buying. I felt as though the price was competitive with on line shoes plus I was able to actually try them on before buying. I will go back for another pair of shoes. I recommend Tradehome Shoes.

I stopped in after searching for the perfect pair of boots and saw these really nice ones in black…read morewhich of course they did not have any in my size but I noted a pair of grey ones pewter almost and i just knew they would be comfy. I noted the price was $99.99 and it was double what I wanted to spend so I opted to browse around a bit and after nearly 2hrs of doing so I came back and tried them on, just as I suspected, they were comfy and I had to have them. I really did want a pair in black but I took what I could get and was happy with my purchase. Joseph the manager did offer another pair for me to try on and they were even a bit less costly but I just had my heart set on the style of the pair I picked out already so I told him no thank you and told him to ring me up. He did a demo of a shoe spray (which to be honest took me by surprise that he sprayed MY boot with it cause I did not even know if I wanted the boot spray or what he was doing till he did it and it made me feel a bit obligated to buy the spray and that I did not like at all. I would have rather him showed me on a demo pair or something...just not on my new boots unless I asked him to. So in this case, I made him spray both boots and got the $6 spray) and asked me if I wanted a cleaner (I didn't) and then rang me up (and also forgot to put my spray in my bag but luckily my bf saw it so I didn't have to double back for it) and I walked out ready to enjoy my new pair of boots. The boots are really nice. I have worn them a few times and like the quality. Only gripe about them was the inside tag, I felt it with thin socks on and I am still not sure if it will pose a major concern in the neat future, if so I will have to bring them back for an exchange. So far so good. 4 stars for customer service and 3 for the store cause it's small and they didn't have my original color in stock. I will report back with an update should I have to proceed with a return. Side note: I have a code that gets me a % off if my friends and or family but $400 worth of shoes from them so if you go there let me know and I will shoot you that code. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy your visit at this companies location in the mall.

I normally wear a size 10.5, but the $40 pair were a size 10, so I figured I could still wear them. When they arrived, I noticed the box said "Size 9". I opened the box and checked one shoe, and it was a size 10 shoe. I didn't want to wear them yet, because my other pair was still good. So away the shoes went into a closet for over 2 months. The day finally came that I decided to wear the shoes on a trip out of town. This is when I noticed the other shoe was in fact a size 9 shoe. It was well past the time the time they allow returns, but figured I'd email. The response was immediate! Todd found the other missing size 10 back at the store. They swiftly shipped it out to me free of charge. I asked how I could get the size 9 back to them so they could at least sell that pair. They weren't worried about it and said to keep it. I'll probably end up buying a display case for it because I like the shoe so much. MRE even threw a bunch of cool stickers into the box for me. Thanks for everything again. Solid service!
