The last few times I've been to this location, the store has been dirty. The floors are scuffed up, unpacked pallets of boxes are blocking paths, pet hair and dirt accumulate along the edges of displays and registers. The last time I used the bathroom, it was so dirty I ended up going to TJ Maxx next doors instead. It seems that this location is seriously understaffed so staff are not able to do the cleaning and stocking as needed. I've also seen and heard many concerning things passing by their dog training area. Just one example, one time a reactive GSD was set up next to the front doors (NOT in the little training area!) to be rewarded / corrected when other dogs enter and had to pass him. That's not okay. Someone shopping with their pet shouldn't be forced to be a training dummy where their pet might be attacked.

I own two guinea pigs from here and while they do house them in slightly small cages, for how many there are, the animals sell quickly and the cages are clean. For a pet store they are very good.

They also have good selection for dogs, cats, goats and horses. They have pretty good deals on 50 pound bags of dog food (around $19), which my dogs wil actually eat. The service is hit or miss for me, if you have to ask a question at the service desk in the back you will probably have to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to actually help you at times. Upon arriving at the border I got told to pull over to secondary to have my vehicle searched by Canadian Customs agents. They found my orchid mantises, which I didn't declare, long story short after over 2 hours, I could enter Canada but my pets couldn't. When I went to US Customs, one of the agents told me of a local shop in Watertown, a mom and pop shop; that no guarantee but maybe they might take care of them for a couple of days? Once I got there, I told Pamela my situation, and she let kindly agreed to watch over them while I was in Canada for a few days. Once I returned, I picked them up, healthy as ever. They don't answer their phone, and they won't even show you your dog until you pay. We ended up having to call the cops because the owner refused to show us our dog was okay, even after we told her we suspected abuse/neglect, and she even tried to refuse to release the dogs to the cops. I now have to take my dog to the vet for a physical examination to make sure she wasn't abused. Less importantly, she got a bath before we brought her in, and now smells like rotten sewage.
