The owner, often found behind the bar, is super knowledgeable, clearly v passionate about the craft, and extremely funny and charming to boot. The menu is rotating but I can highly recommend: -The Corn and Oil (don't be turned off by the name, it is a rummy, tropical delight so named to represent the fallernum and rum ingredients) -(Not Quite A) Gin and Tonic -Spicy Margarita (note* this cocktail was added to the menu after I specifically requested Max add a bit of bite to my drink. He created a habanero tequila infusion and the rest is history!)

The service here was very friendly and quick, and attentive to ask us if we wanted a new drink. We tried one of the taster flights and then ordered normal beers afterwards. The taster flight is fun to try different beers but don't know if it's worth it actually as the tasters themselves are very very small (only 0.1 liter I think). So maybe stick to ordering a full beer instead :) Will definitely be returning! The location itself is really nice overlooking the water, and looking forward to sit outside on the patio during summer!

They have many options for vegans and vegetarians, though I find that common in this city. Their truffle sauce is crack; it brings everything to life! My son loved his falafel burger and of course, I took a bite. So tasty and I wasn't even fond of falafels. Needless to say, my mushroom burger was packed with deliciousness. Funny thing is, we got Brioche breads as buns the first time and something like Country bread the second time around. Both times, burgers remained just as scrumptious.

Food is not overpriced, and they even offer a business lunch menu. Nice, I dig it! Yet, while this is fun for some drinks out with friends, the food quality just isn't a match. I don't need yet another place that serves pizza straight out of the German past imo. Yet there is still no Neapolitan pizza west of Ottensen. Don A Roma already have the style. If they bring in an actual Neapolitan pizza oven and do some smart local advertising, they'll rule the West (and I promise I'll become a regular).

Whenever I visit places that claim to be specialists I like to be guided in my choice. This part can really make or break an experience. If not guided with professionalism and entusiasm I might as well go somewhere else. In Alles Elbe the entusiasm is contageous and the love of beer is undenieable. Even the tapas-like dishes were presented with a love for quality and taste - made us want to taste everything. And so we did. The smoked ham was more than delish, so was the 'syltz', but after all we came for the beer... The two beers I had were great. I especially enjoyed the Brewcifer 'Rhubarb wire', a saison beer with rhubarb and basil. Eminent taste and such personality. So tell the host or hostess what kind you like and be bold when guided - you might strike gold! Remember that tap beer can be tasted before decision is made. And enjoy this wonderfully loving atmosphere for a evening. I know I did!
