I would absolutely recommend GSB for future kids/teens especially for beginners. Our boy's were definitely hesitant at first but in time they boosted their confidence on the mat. At GSB they were taught MORE discipline, respect, good sportsmanship, being somewhat independent and of course proper jiu-jitsu training. One of the things we loved about GSB is that, it's a family friendly, caring and kind environment. My husband and I truly felt that our kids were getting the attention they needed as individuals when it came down to training and sometimes getting hurt on the mat and as a parent that is one of the most important things, is to see that your child is well taken care of with trusting coaches/professor. We hope to come back to SD and have our kids retrained by the best! Thank you Professor Leticia and all the coach at GSB!

In that month, I took advantage of as many classes as I could. This location's primary focus is Muay Thai/Kickboxing but the curriculum they teach is diverse and thorough to prepare you for whatever your goal is when joining. I really enjoyed the restorative yoga class at the end of the week to really wind down and recover from the week's hard work. The instructors are well educated on the lessons they teach and are very welcoming of everyone no matter their skill level. They break down lessons in a way that allows everyone to understand what is being taught and why it's being taught and how to apply it. The gym's members are also welcoming and ready to help out with constructive criticism that the coaches don't always get to see when you're running the drills. A huge benefit of having this tight-knit community of a gym is that everyone wants the best for everyone and pushes/motivates them to be their best! Everyone knows everyone and in my time there I noticed no one goes unnoticed; you're always gonna be welcomed by someone. The facility is well kept, clean, and practically brand new! Their weightlifting gear is a great amenity if you're interested in building your strength as well. It's surrounded by local shops that are also worth a visit whether it be a quick coffee or a bite to eat after a hard day of training.
