I would not recommend Goose Creek Bed and Biscuit. This place is an absolute disgrace. Our 1 year…read moreold lab puppy was boarded there when we were traveling for 10 days. Not only did they send ALL of her food back with her, she came home with cuts and sores all over her skin, a chemical burn on her stomach, and had lost 17 lbs in the 10 days she was there. They claimed to me that the food container, which was premeasured for the duration of her stay, was "too heavy to carry" and that they fed her in house food. We took her to another veterinarian office to have her evaluated because she was so traumatized and unwell. The vet was not even able to gather a fecal sample because they starved her while she was in their "care". Do NOT send your pet here. They are abusive and should be ashamed. Animal control should shut this place down. They lied to me and told me multiple different stories, and then lied and told another different story to the animal control officer. They don't refund the boarding fee after they clearly neglected to provide the service they promised. In addition, we had to pay almost $600 for veterinary treatment for the injuries our puppy sustained in their "care". I will tell every person I know how horrific they were to our sweet puppy.

I had a very bad experience with this place and would not recommend it. My dog was groomed here and…read morewas cut over five times, requiring a visit to the vet. No one informed me at pickup, and the manager tried to blame it on my dog being matted, which does not justify multiple injuries. The boarding experience was just as concerning. When my dog was picked up, his belongings were disorganized, and his bed was returned soaked in dried feces. Staff admitted multiple dogs had diarrhea but never contacted me. They also said they sometimes give dogs pumpkin without notifying owners. Communication between staff and management was extremely poor, and no one seemed to know what was going on with the animals. It appears my dog may have been left in an unsanitary condition for days without proper care. The staff showed little concern or accountability, and responses felt scripted and dismissive. Overall, this facility lacks proper communication, cleanliness, and care. I will not be returning and urge others to be cautious when trusting them with their pets. I have recorded calls and photos so i do not want to see this business coming back with some weak response. My mom used them years ago and the experience was top tier. She got photos sent to her everyday, a report card saying whether he ate or didn't and if he actually played with the other animals or not. We spend our hard earn money and trust that this place is going to take care of our fur babies. Communication is key especially when dealing with animals who can not tell us what is going on. If i could leave 0 stars i would. Please do not bring your animals here i don't care if it's your last resort. I made a post on social media about it and the responses i received were out of this world. The front desk girl Danielle has absolutely no idea what is going on and the male managers response is always what do u want out of all this. Umm I want absolutely nothing from you because my dog is never coming back. I want yall to get your stuff together and take better care of the animals that are left in your care... i have contacted the owners and the appropriate people. I WILL BE TAKING THIS THE DISTANCE and i truly mean that. Sincerely a loving and caring dog owner. I need to speak up for these poor animals and let future owners know what's really going on here because it is absolutely unacceptable all across the board...

Unfortunately, the visit quickly became one of the hardest we've experienced as Rescue pet parents. During the exam, we were given devastating news: our beloved rescuer pet (she rescued us) has a heart murmur. Hearing this was heartbreaking and overwhelming. We were then presented with estimates exceeding $3,000 for the recommended testing and follow-up care. While we understand the importance of proper diagnostics and treatment, the emotional weight of the news, combined with the financial reality, was incredibly difficult to process in that moment. Our pet has been part of our family for over six years. She is not "just a pet" to us--she is deeply loved, cherished, and woven into our daily lives. The thought of life without her is unimaginable, and we are committed to doing everything we can to keep her healthy and comfortable for as long as possible. Despite the emotional nature of the visit, the veterinary team Dr. Marissa Romagnuolo and Car the Vet tech were professional and thorough in explaining the findings and recommendations. This experience has been painful, but we appreciate the honesty and care shown during such a difficult moment. We are now navigating the next steps with heavy hearts but unwavering love for our girl. I had a reservation for my 1-year-old dog to stay at Charleston Dog House, booked since October 2…read more It was her first time at any boarding facility, and I made this clear when booking. I also called multiple times to discuss payments and inform them of her anxiety. My veterinarian confirmed she is not an aggressive dog but can be protective in my presence. To also mention- my veterinarian (knowing how my dog is) actually recommended that I take my dog to Charleston Dog House, so I truly thought my dog would be in great hands with her anxious tendencies. When we arrived, the atmosphere was chaotic, with loud and unsettling animal noises. To my shock, I observed a staff member screaming at the dogs. My dog, understandably anxious, began barking and hiding behind me. A staff member attempted to reach for her despite her clear discomfort. My dog barked but did not lunge--an interaction I witnessed directly. The staff's response was unprofessional, with one member yelling and another observing her as though she were a major issue. After completing the paperwork, I was told rudely that they would call me in 5-10 minutes to decide if my dog could stay, depending on her behavior. This possibility had never been mentioned before, which was especially concerning as I was about to leave for a trip to Florida. Feeling uneasy, I returned to my car, where I began to cry--both because of how scared my dog was and how cold and unhelpful the staff had been. Just two minutes later, a staff member knocked on my car window to demand I retrieve my dog because she wouldn't move from the lobby. They gave her no time to adjust and didn't even offer to let me walk her back to help ease the transition. I explained to the staff that this situation was incredibly stressful and inconvenient, as I was set to leave for Florida within the hour. I shared that our vet has handled my dog without me present and described her as calm once I'm out of sight. None of this seemed to matter. What upset me further was when my father called to inquire about a solution. The staff falsely claimed my dog was jumping on and biting them--something they never mentioned to me at any point. This misrepresentation of events and lack of transparency were unacceptable. Fortunately, I was able to find another facility in Walt Disney World that, within five minutes, made me feel far more at ease than Charleston Dog House ever did. The difference in professionalism and compassion was night and day. Charleston Dog House turned my dog away after only two minutes, citing "separation anxiety" without attempting any accommodations. Their lack of patience, compassion, and professionalism caused undue stress for both me and my dog. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, especially those with anxious or first-time boarding dogs.
