I have attended a CBT class for food cravings. I have seen the nurse, dietician; as well my doctor is now going to connect me with a one year program she is part of for my back. I find this is a really great practice to be part of because of the other resources they have available, if not at the clinic than at a participating hospital.

The reception will say that they will relay the message to him or they have told him about my call. In person appointments are just as useless. Not to mention the change location three times. I have had more success going to the walk-in clinic and had to depend on going to the emergency. I have been reading desperately to see a specialist for years and the specialist cannot do test I need until other specialist see me and I have spoken to him about it many times I'm a young woman with kids they deserve to have their mother in good health and have the tests and doctors she needs. Everything I suffer is because of this doctor not doing his job. Incompetence at its finest. I am disgusted, and if I could find another doctor, I would. Treats, old people, and people who don't wear a mask better than people with actual health issues.

FInding a family doctor is hard, so when I moved downtown 10 years ago, I discovered that I couldn't find a family doctor, but I could be assigned to a Nurse Practitioner at WCH Family Practice. For those reluctant to opt for a Nurse Practitioner, I can tell you from my experience, it is better than a family doctor. Anything they can handle on their own is done quickly because you can see them sooner than the overbooked doctors, and when there is something they can't handle, it is referred to a doctor in the clinic or a specialist, so it is the best of both worlds. My Nurse practitioner retired last year and I ended up becoming a patient of one of the doctors in the clinic, and while she is a great doctor, WCH is a teaching hospital, so she is only in the clinic twice a week, so appointments are hard to get. However, WCH family practice offers urgent care appointments in the evenings, so if a doctor can't see you that day, you can see one in the evening, instead of going to a walk in clinic or emergency. The clinic is very accessible, something I appreciated after my knee surgery.
