I've been seeing Dr. Michelle for several years now, and I can honestly say she is one of the…read morefinest chiropractors in the Bay Area. What makes her truly unique is that she's not only an exceptional chiropractor, but she also incorporates functional neurology, functional medicine, and nutrition into her approach to patient care. Rather than simply treating symptoms, she takes the time to identify the underlying causes of what's preventing you from living the quality of life you deserve. From there, she creates an individualized treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs. Your first visit should be scheduled for at least an hour. Dr. Michelle takes the time to thoroughly review your health history, discuss your concerns, and perform an examination of the areas that need attention. She then explains her recommendations and how often you'll need treatment to achieve the best results. You never feel rushed, and it's obvious she genuinely wants to help you heal. Her office is spacious, welcoming, and equipped with several state-of-the-art therapies designed to improve your overall health and well-being. The treatment rooms are private, allowing you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your appointments. Dr. Michelle is also extremely knowledgeable about nutrition, supplements, and specialized laboratory testing that can help identify underlying imbalances affecting your health. I've personally used several of the therapy machines with fantastic results. My favorite is the PEMF bed, which has its own private room. The low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic therapy has made a remarkable difference in my arthritis pain. It helps relieve that constant gnawing ache and allows me to function so much better. Just keep in mind that healing doesn't happen overnight--it may take several treatments depending on your individual needs, but it's absolutely worth it. I've also benefited from the MCU unit, which has helped strengthen my neck tremendously. Then there's another machine that I affectionately call "The Transformer." Not only is it huge, but it truly feels like it transforms your body! The office also offers free weights, balance balls, neurological rehabilitation tools, and one of my other favorites--the neck and back decompression machine. It gently opens areas that feel compressed, and the relief afterward is incredible. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by Shani, who is warm, welcoming, and always makes you feel at home. She also assists with many of the therapy machines and is an important part of the wonderful experience at the office. Dr. Michelle is loved by so many of her patients, and I've heard people say more than once, "I wish she could be my doctor for everything." I couldn't agree more. She is genuinely committed to helping people heal, feel better, and live the life they're meant to live. If you're looking for a chiropractor who truly listens, treats the whole person--not just the symptoms--and genuinely cares about your long-term health, I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Michelle. She has made a tremendous difference in my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for her care.

I highly recommend Dr. Michelle Del Bene for both functional neurology and chiropractic work…read more Out of desperation, I came to her almost 2 years after a car accident that caused me a traumatic brain injury. I had gone to many medical doctors and optometrists who could not help me improve my cognitive abilities, vision and other problems since my concussion. Identified the hidden culprit: Dr. Del Bene immediately figured out on my first visit that I had been misdiagnosed. She examined my neck and said that my neck was out of alignment. I showed her the X-ray report of my neck from after the accident that said everything was fine. She said that couldn't be true. She sent my x-ray to a chiropractic radiologist who indeed figured out that my neck was straight instead of curved. The lack of curvature in my neck explained problems that I had with my autonomic nervous system and that I wasn't having the right connections between my brain and the rest of the body. The main culprit was hidden in plain sight! Dr. Del Bene was the only one to figure out the problem even though I'd had neck pain since my accident. Another hidden problem: She most definitely takes the time to listen and to think through what are the root causes of the problem. She also suspected that I had leaky gut or dysbiosis caused by the concussion and this would account for my inability to lose weight and other problems. No other traumatic brain injury specialist I'd gone to had made the connection between the gut and the brain. I spoke to a gastroenterologist specialised in leaky gut and he corroborated Dr. Del Bene's thoughts about my TBI causing dysbiosis. Vision: Since working with her, my vision has improved to the point where I do not need to use my reading glasses to read on my phone or certain books. I can read with my normal distance glasses. I had tried five different prescription glasses since my accident and they didn't improve my sight at all. Improvement in energy, mood, mental alertness and cognitive abilities: With Del Bene's chiropractic work, the exercises on the Multi Cervical Unit neck machine and the functional neurology work for my inner ear has made my brain work better and I have more energy and my mood is better. I've been coming to her clinic for over 3 months and I feel much better. I've made a lot more improvement in the last 3 months than I have working with any other doctor since my accident. Even if your head trauma is not new, and you're still suffering the effects of a brain injury, I highly suggest seeing this doctor. Cost: She looks for inexpensive ways for people to improve. When she realized I had a neck issue, she recommended a $15 or $20 pillow. I thought I was going to have to buy one of those $250 Tempurpedic pillows. She's not the type of doctor who's going to unnecessarily make you buy expensive things. I do get part of my visits covered through my health insurance. Her office sends me superbills that I submit to my health insurance company. Shani is Dr. Del Bene's assistant. She takes her job very seriously and is also very funny and warm. She is very detail oriented. Note: The majority of appointments do not start on time. The doctor takes the time to really listen and work with her patients. I don't suggest planning anything directly after the appointment.
