Includes shops like Crazy Man Crazy, Vintagehart, Bambino, Volcano Coffee Works, Cartwrights, Beyond Retro, etc. It's also a great place to sell stuff. Church Rd has suffered since a a multi millionaire Nigerian church has purchased the local cinema with designs on making it a a bankrolling jesus cash in centre dispite being denied planning by the Council. But the residents of the the longest side of the Triangle of Upper Norwood are standing firm against this insult to the local community and not letting the rot set in. The people of SE19 have led this initiative in a creative and very cool way. Seeing it now and comparing it to the row of empty shops photographed on google maps, its amazing how much its changed in a year. It is like a whole new world of the past when you walk through the narrow doorway. A word of advice, do not take small children in there as they do not like people picking up their goods as most of it is antiques. They've got something for everyone in there, even if you do not like antiques. I saw a bunch of comics from my youth, a few action figures, tonnes of clothes, books and memorabilia scattered all over the place. The Haynes Market is a maze but a fun one. There is stairs from the first floor to the ground floor where you will discover a few more stalls to browse from. My friends got to wrapped up in the market that we spend ages in there looking at things, it's just amazing. Haynes Market is what a market in London should be like!

I finally went inside and wasn't disappointed there is so much to choose from the staff are very friendly and I brought quite a few coins and stamps as these are the things I collect and am interested in. They seem to favour plants grown locally (Surrey mostly) and have some really unusual herbs such as tangerine sage and black mint. They also serve tea, coffee and locally made cakes, which are all scrummy! On a lovely day, it is heavenly to sit outside in amongst all the greenery enjoying a cuppa and a slice of home made cake. They also offer free local delivery (same day) which was brilliant for us as we bought loads of compost and had walked from home, so didn't fancy walking back with it!
