This was one of the first stores in the area to carry reproduction Miriam Haskell jewelry. The owners also produce a few of their own items including pop-art-ish plates with silhouettes on them and tote bags featuring prints of old Richmond postcards. I've also seen funky cameras, felt handbags, earrings made from recycled tin and a selection of note cards and stationery that always makes it hard to leave without something. Most recently I'm in love with the little reusable cloth sandwich and snack bags featuring bold patterns; the glass water bottles and wine glasses that are made to resemble their plastic counterparts; and the wooden "Not Plastic Cutlery" that comes in packaged in a cloth napkin. The fun selection makes this a great place for buying gifts or just treating yourself. If you're there to shop, make sure you check out the front of the store and the room in back behind the main gallery display. There's lots of good stuff waiting for you.

Don't be confused by the name, The Valentine. This 19th-century home was purchased in 1898 by Mann Valentine Jr. who added a museum to the property and renamed it The Valentine. My visit was part of a dual tour with the John Marshall House (treason trial of A. Burr). The tour started promptly at the appointed time, and we began our tour of the home. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Wickham house, the family and the history of that time. Her tour was much more than a simple recitation. She brought the home to life through her descriptions, easily fielded questions and encouraged discussions. We all gained a clear picture of life at that time as well as the role that John Wickham played in history. The house is kept in beautiful condition with many examples of how the family lived, from clothing to imagined food out on the table. I was truly impressed by the beauty of the home. After the tour we were able to meander through the museum that is a part of the property. It is an interesting stroll through Richmond's history from the early 1800's to the present. I would definitely suggest a visit here if you are a history fanatic. Check out your options for parking before you get here (I parked in one of the local garages and spent about $15).

When you first walk up, you'll notice the huge bowling alley on the left side. They also have mini golf, an arcade, karaoke, pool tables, another bar area, and even a DJ playing music, which really helps create a fun atmosphere. There's honestly a lot to do here for groups, couples, or just a night out with friends. The atmosphere was definitely a vibe. The entire place felt very safe, clean, and well maintained. The staff was amazing and very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and sweet throughout the night. We didn't get to try every attraction besides bowling. Unfortunately, I'm personally not the biggest fan of string bowling, but it was still a fun experience overall. For food, we had a smash burger and fries. The burger was really good and tender, and the fries were great too. The drinks were surprisingly very cheap, which was honestly amazing considering how much entertainment they offer. Overall, we really don't have any complaints. There's a lot to do, the environment is fun and friendly, and it's definitely a dope spot to check out in Richmond. We give it 4 out of 5 stars
