I was in dire need of pointing for my home and also to address water issues coming off my solid cement staircase. Jim DiMarco came to my home late last year and went over what could be done to help me. He recommended putting in a metal drain below the "lip" of the staircase to reduce run off. When it comes to pointing, the business just doesn't fill in the gaps. Instead they dig out the old cement and insure fresh cement to insure a solid seal. Such was the plan given to me last fall and reflected on my estimate. At that time I was told my project would be done sometime this year. DiMarco masonry called me a day ahead of time to let me know what day and time they would be out and he and his assistant arrived promptly at the scheduled time. I checked in on the work here and there and saw that the work was very thorough and they cleaned up appropriately. Jim DiMarco showed me the metal lip he placed on my concrete block and hopefully it should keep excess water from running down my staircase and onto my newly finished bricks. If I had an issue at any time I was free to call him. I was very pleased with his services and am glad I could find a mason to do a quality job. This business is much in demand at the current time so if you are willing to wait on your project then I highly recommend their services.

He got us an estimate, then on the schedule and contacted us when he would be starting the work. We had a chimney fully repointed, a new crown poured and repointing of a few areas around the house. He and his team were extremely respectful of our property and felt like they treated it as their own. They were on time and extremely efficient throughout doing the work. For the most part I am a practical person. . . But sometimes I like to go a bit above and beyond. Our friend recommended that we make an appointment with the designer at 84 Lumber. That is what we did. The showroom is on the top floor and let me say that their designs are beautiful. I was honest and told the designer, Kristin, that I didn't have an idea in mind but I would know what I wanted when I saw it. I'm sure for a designer those words are frustrating to hear. However, she was extremely patient with me. She started showing me samples. At first I was like . . ."wellllll these are nice . . .but not me." Then BAM! I saw it! The tile I knew was meant for me! I started getting excited! Kristin saw where my mind was going and started pulling tile to accompany the one I picked for the shower walls. It became apparent that I am big on texture. I wanted texture everywhere! In a little over an hour I had picked shower tile, accent tile for the shower, shower floor tile, bathroom floor tile and grout. I was beyond happy with my choices. I asked the designer what she thought of my choices and she said they were very nice. My husband said, "you have to say that!" She said that if she had not liked a choice I was making or thought it didn't flow she would have tried to steer me in a different direction. That was nice to know. I know that my tastes are different than most peoples. I don't want what everyone else has. It was nice to know though, that she would have been honest if my choices didn't look nice together. Our tile is ordered and will be in soon. I can't wait to see the finished product!!! Now, of course I want to remodel my main bathroom . . . . . LOL
