I decided to get into computer building and while I put most of it together correctly, I couldn't get my rbg fans to work. On top of that. I had bent my CPU on accident doing something else. So I took my computer into the one in Kettering and these guys rocked it out. I'm probably spelling his name wrong but AVI was super nice and you could tell this guy really likes what he does. Took about 2 business days and they fixed it up. Cable managed it, got my rbg looking like a dream and fixed my cpu. Overall a fast, easy, fair priced service. I plan on using them in the future for any of my needs. They also have some dope rigs ready to buy in store, I recommend checking them out for yourselves. read more

DNA Computers - I mean just look at those lights - Computers Near Me - Kettering, Ohio

I took my iMac here two years ago to put in a new hard drive in to my iMac. They charged me $100 to just open it. And more toe do actual work. I had it back in there in a couple days because it seemed to be overheating. They put in some thermal gel to help. I don't think it did. Cut to two years later that same drive has now blown up, and my screen has decided to die. I took it to Gem City over in The Greene and they were way more experienced with iMacs, and charged me $100 to replace the screen and reinstall the new HD, which replaced under warranty. And fix the tiny ribbon cable that had gotten all jacked up inside that... controlled thermal stuff and screen temperature or something. So All my problems, were probably from this one cable DNA bungled and possibly caused the screen and HD to die due to heat. These guys I think will do great on PCs, but take your macs elsewhere. read more

Took my computer there 2 to 3 times they fixed it really quickly and told me what was wrong before I even made it worst

Absolutely horrible customer service. There was a problem with my order and I called to inquire about how it would take to resolve. The man I spoke to waffled about answers for a couple of minutes then said that I needed to speak to the manager. I asked to speak to the manager. He put me on hold. I was on hold for a manager FOR 3 THREE HOURS before, when my phone was almost dead, that the store had. CLOSED 30 minutes prior They were open for 2.5 hours. Then left me on hold and went home. Talk about RUDE. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!! There are lots of better places to go in the area....the other places might even be cheaper. At least you will get what you paid for ion time and without being treated like you are not worth their time read more

I have had 2 experiences with DNA, Once in 2011, and again in 2012. I purchased a used desktop computer for my girlfriend. This was a bare bones desktop, for 250 bucks. It still works today, no issues at all. I purchased a very nice HP 2000 laptop in August of 2012, virtually like new, saved about 75 dollars from a new one would cost, and still had 6 months of warranty on it at the time. I have had Zero issues with it as well. When you can get 2 computers at a cut rate that are quality, that's hard to beat. I highly recommend this place. Service was friendly as well. read more

I never really do bad reviews although If I could give no stars I would. Stay far far away from this place. They lack professionalism, and have no clue what customer service is. Really rude and disrespectful. A couple months ago I cracked the screen on my lap by tossing my keys on it. They hit perfectly and cracked it not too bad but the crack began to spread. Despite friends offering to fix it for me I decided to have it done by professionals or what I thought. I dropped it off before Xmas and the gentleman even looked at and said that the only thing wrong with it was the cracked screen which I could still use since it really wasn't that bad...I could open it and close it too. It wasn't that old so I figure 200 was worth it. I went back yesterday to pick it up after being out of the states for a couple days dealing with a family emergency and i was attacked saying that they had tried to call me and before I could answer he responded oh yeah your phone doesn't work does it. I'm a member of the Air Force so I tried to be respectful although they brought my lap top out they told me my henges were broken, screws and pieces were falling out of it and they told me I had to fix the back plate for another $150 after I had just paid almost $200 for the screen. My lap top has barely been used although it is 3 yrs old so I said it really wasn't worth it. When I went to close it they told me I could not close it because I would break the the screen. What the da? The guy even got mad at me when the screws were falling out saying they were stripped. I didn't say it but Wow, dude that means you did it since you're the only one who has taken it apart. So now I can't close it screws are still falling out and the key board case is splitting down the middle. They so missed the mark on this one. If it was worth it to sue I would. I'm telling you after a couple minutes on YouTube you can do the same work --stay away. read more

Unprofessional is an understatement. My husband needed an adapter for his monitor to connect it to his new tower. He called the shop and they confirmed that they did have the part, and that it was $10. We requested that they hold it for us and that we would be in the next day to pick it up. We arrived today (the next day) and after initially saying it was not there, the man working found it in another spot. My husband asked if he could double-check the adapter to be sure it was the right one, and the guy pulled the plastic cover off the end and literally shoved it in my husband's face. He asked us how much we'd been quoted for the part, and told him what we'd been told on the phone - my husband had the call on speakerphone, so I'd heard it, too - $10. He then told us that wasn't right, and went to his computer. Initially I thought he was checking their inventory, but then, after us saying that we'd chosen to come there because the price was less than Best Buy, he clicked around a few more times and told us that Best Buy didn't have the part, and one similar was $14.99, so that's what the part would cost - clearly he was just checking to see what Best Buy was charging and set the price that way. After our protest, he said he was sorry that the person with whom we'd spoken was, "Mistaken about the pricing," and refused to budge on the quoted price. We paid for it, after him making an arrogant comment about the sales tax (making the part over $16). For us being on a tight budget, the difference between $10 and $14.99 is steep. The lack of communication between employees, the attitude problem of the man working today, and the pricing change based on what a competitor is charging was completely out of line. If you decide to shop here, I'd get a quote in writing from someone in charge with a guarantee that the pricing will be as stated. Their insincere and hollow apologies leave us unable to recommend them to any family or friends. read more

The customer service at this location is beyond poor. They have no sense of how to give a great client experience. When I asked for help, the employee/manager rolled their eyes and acted disgusted to help me. Poor poor poor customer service. No wonder it seemed like a ghost town in there. I brought in my laptop on Wednesday in order to get it repaired because it was not turning on. The man who accepted my device stated very confidently that I should be anticipating a phone call either Thursday or Friday describing the status of my device. I waited until 6 pm on Friday and still have not received a phone call. I then decided to initialize the call myself, calling twice with no response. On Monday at 12 pm I called once again to inquire about the status of my device. The man who anwered informed me that my device was not ready and that I should call back again at 5pm. When I called back around 5 pm, the man informed me that my device was ready and that all that had to be fixed was a usb port. I was informed about the cost without any sort of consultation. I picked up my device around 6 pm on Tuesday. The device was not charged, so I was not able to check in store if it was working. When I was finally able to sit down and charge my laptop to see if it was fixed, I found that the laptop would not consistently turn on, which meant that my initial problem was not resolved and I paid $140 for a repair that did very little for me. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication with the customer and how blind I felt in this process. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of in my desperate situation. read more

I took my laptop into this company to be fixed. It took them much longer then the time they quoted me it would take to get the needed part in and to fix it. There was virtually no contact from them to let me know what was going on and why my computer wasn't ready yet. If I hadn't called I'm not sure I ever would have gotten my computer back. But the worst part of this company, is that they will damage your computer and then claim they didn't do it. They physically damaged my computer and proceeded to try to tell me it was previous damage. They did not take any responsibility for their mistake, and basically called me a liar. I advise you to stay very far away from this company if you like your computer. read more
