I went there today to renew my driver's license. The lady at the check-in desk was extremely pleasant to EVERYBODY. She had a smile on her face at all times and encouraged the young people taking their permit tests and was very patient with them and everyone else. The employee who took my picture and my paperwork was also extremely pleasant. Please review what paperwork you will need as far as proof of residency, etc before going and this will save you from having to return home and get things. Otherwise, I went about 10:30 and there were 8 people in line ahead of me (not counting people already sitting and waiting) and I got out in about 45 minutes. I have had rude staff in the past there but hopefully this means they have hired new staff as everyone seemed to be very friendly and professional when I went today. read more

Mallory was very helpful and helped us with all our questions and guided us very well in what we needed to do. Even when I asked the same thing multiple times. Thank you Nekkie for smiling and helping out and Margie for also being nice to us. I could tell that Margie might have been a little tired, but she was still nice to us. Even with trying to provide the woman Connie at the front the information that was requested, she was rude and basically threw my papers back at me because I provided 3 copies of residency instead of 2. Absolutely terrible. No one was at the front door desk half the time. People were literally packed inside. We waited for over 4 hours and finally gave up. I was in tears when we left. I just needed my daughter to take her permit test. They let all commercial license people skip ahead of everyone else. There were only one or two people actually working behind the desk at one time and most of the time one of those people was answering the phone. I've never been to a public office that was so poorly run. Why can't the DMV system in MS be better? It's a complete waste of time. Again, we left before we were seen. I had an appointment and I don't know what that point was, I still had to wait in line with the people who did not have one. the people inside are so rude and have no customer service skills whatsoever. No reason why my tax dollars are going towards this place they are an absolute waste. Tried to use their kiosk, couldn't because it's out of order. NOTHING about this place is speedy or steady pace. Plan I'm spending the majority of your day here. -5 Stars if you want the truth. Because my family member is not the race that the tester preferred she was discriminated against. The tester I believe her name is Connie Mayes made it un-bearable for my family member. She made rude statements to her in the car. She did not call people in the order of which we came in. She failed me right away as she asked me to park and once I did she said not here then went on and on about several different places to park. She tried to embarrass my family member on several occasions saying very disrespectful comments. I felt she was failed for her on ego. My family member had waited patiently, was very professional and understanding of the fact she was skipped over several times as well as discriminated against more than once. The tester needs to find a job more suitable for her personality which would be something AWAY from people of any RACE or that is a living thing. I hope someone reads this because a discrimination suite could be filed against someone so rude and careless with her job that anyone would love to have. Please, wait the wait and go somewhere else it's not worth the aggravation at this place as long as she is employed. read more

This office is the worst in the North Mississippi area. The staff that sit behind the desk are so rude that it is embarrassing to know that they represent our state. They have no consideration for others. Outside the door where people line up to enter has coke bottles, coffee cups, paper, and even old clothes that have been drooped on the ground. No one in the office cares. I know it has been there two consecutive weeks because I had to go there two weeks in a row. The staff knows the trash is there because I watched as an employee went outside in order to lock the entrance door and stepped over the trash. I only rated this office a 1 star because I did not have a choice for anything less. If the work ethic is like this in other areas of the country it is understandable why we have problems. read more
